After another 2 full years of football? Lol.

2 whole years???

So you are turning down a mid first round pick for two years of a player. Smart Saints Investment.

*looks at $30 million in cap space*

Ignore him he doesn't do well with facts and numbers.

Saints only have 9 million less than us in cap space. Amazing that people still can't understand that it's possible to work around the cap.

Yet people like to use the "we have no cap room" excuse for 4 years

I don't think you understand how this works.

If the Saints franchise him, he plays the next 3 years for roughly $25 million. Or they sign him to a deal. Or thet let him walk and get a 3rd round compensatory pick.

Cooks>18th pick in the draft.

Just for the record, that was before the Byrd cut that will save us $8 million.

18th pick in the draft>3rd round pick + 3 years of Cooks and Michael Thomas hating each other and causing drama in your locker room

wait why am I arguing for the Saints to do something that makes sense

I'd give them a second for him. Not a first.  He's not a 1k yd WR outside of NO, maybe NE or a couple other spots.  Saints WRs are a product of the QB and system, they're never as good as they look on paper.  If he went to Tenn he'd be wasted and have a career of roughly 750 years seasons.  And healthy Percy Harvin was >>>>>>>>>>>> Cooks.  It was an awful trade because he was never healthy.

Don't agree with that, but I respect your opinion lol.

The Saints will get more than just 18 for Cooks.

Well, apparently at least 4 NFL GMs disagree with you.

When was Percy healthy?? He's always had injury concerns. He was coming iff 600 receiving yards and 3 TDs when he got traded for a 1, 3, and 7.

So basically he is not for trade unless you go retarded and give 2 firsts for a player not worth one.

Basically. Loomis said a few days ago it would take an "awful lot" to get him. They don't have to move him. They'll get what they want or keep a good receiver on the team.

I wouldn't even give the #40 for Cooks

Bruh. I would.

I'd give NO #40 for cooks in a heartbeat.  I mean who could we draft at 40 that'll possibly eclipse what value cooks would have to our team.  Cooks can take the top off the defense, play the slot.. hell return kicks.  for #40 pick?  Hell yeah done deal.  You want me to throw in our 7th rounder with that?
