Which draft pick would make an immediate impact

#2 Tight End is open and we are a running team and Howard is the best complete TE in years.  As a Panther IMO he would be the most impactful.

Founette would definitely be our future but would, at minimum, share duties with Stewart for a year or two.

Adams we would bring along slowly so he has time to grasp our scheme.  No doubt he would eventually be the starter but once again brought along slowly.

DE starter I could see Thomas filling that roll but our DEs rotate so Edwards even if he is the best DE we have isn't going to start every play.

Lattimore, depending on how quickly he would to understand our defense would eventually become a starter over Worley.

I want O.J. Howard in Charlotte something awful. He is a perfect fit for this offense and would give Cam a reliable TE to finish out his career.

I can't get that thought out of my head either.   While Fournette is an awesome player I just think Howard will do more for our running game than Fournette

I agree, but keeping Dave's "win now" mentality for this season in mind, Howard would (IMO) make the most immediate impact. Ron has also mentioned wanting more 2 TE sets, and that ain't happening with Dickson.

FWIW, I personally think we'll either grab Fournette if he's there (which he most likely won't be) or DE (we need fresh blood to rotate in, our starters are old).

If we keep the same offense that we've been running since Shula took over then McCaffrey is the answer. He would get touches in the return game(replacing Ginn and usurping Webb/Fozzy), as a slot receiver(replacing Philly) and being our receiving back(replacing Tolbert). Barring injuries I don't see any other rookie getting as many opportunities since McCaffrey can wear a number of hats so to speak.

Indeed. I put zero stock in his opinion or anything he says.

I generally agree with both statements, but i think he's right this time. I'm definitely not saying Howard is the best player that he mentions, just the one with the most immediate impact.

Howard - Yes, Dickson sucks

Lattimore - Would probably beat Worley out day 1, BUT, Worley isn't bad. CB isn't (IMO) a position of need, but an upgrade would be nice.

Thomas (or Barnette) - Likely our pick, would immediately become part of our DE rotation and would benefit us more in the long run.

Fournette - gone by 8, but if not see above comment. Also, better talent in round 2 at RB than at TE.

Adams - Hooker is better, but better talent in round 2 at SS than at TE
