What Nolan Nawrocki says about Leonard Fournette

Under “negatives” for Newton, Nawrocki writes, “Very disingenuous — has a fake smile, comes off as very scripted and has a selfish, me-first makeup.  Always knows where the cameras are and plays to them.  Has an enormous ego with a sense of entitlement that continually invites trouble and makes him believe he is above the law — does not command respect from teammates and will always struggle to win a locker room . . . Lacks accountability, focus and trustworthiness — is not punctual, seeks shortcuts and sets a bad example.  Immature and has had issues with authority.  Not dependable.”

Leonard Fournette is a beast, this Nolan guy is a clown and no Panther fan should give him clicks or attention, ever.  I can't believe this guy is even still out there trying to do this.

He jumped his own shark after fake smile fiasco.

Seeing his work randomly sprout up is akin to seeing a troubled child actor pop up in a new role and you go, "ohhhh, so that's what they've been up to..."

Fournette is a generational talent in the same category as all time greats such as Bo Jackson and Herschel Walker exiting college.

I keep reading this generational talent description thrown around.

And yet in another thread, people were talking about a guy at Penn St. being better than anyone in this year's class. Apparently, generations are much shorter than previously thought.

First, that was me. I said Barkley might be the best back in this class and the next. One person agreed saying he was, without a doubt. But I also don't subscribe to the "generational talent" label. Judge every player in a vacuum. On what they can do and not do. I am one who is not a fan of 1st round RBs. But I would have taken Elliot last year in the Cowboys position. His strength was no weaknesses. Did everything well. Gurley's injuries were enough to scare me off of him top 10. Before that, nothing since AP. I prefer "special". You don't pass on special when it's a need also. You can have 3 "special" players in the same draft, at the same position. Generational talent is a misused and unfair term. How do you compare anyone to Bo? Probably the greatest natural athletic specimen in American sports history. Elway, Marino, and Kelly were all special, and proved it. And came from the 1st round of the same draft, for example.

Yup but he's also a premiere talent evaluator.

Nolan believes that as long as black folk stick to the "their" positions on the field, then its all good.

Try sitting at the QB lunch counter though.... oooooh, Nolan doesn't like that at all.

We should just enshrine Fournette into the HoF before he even takes a snap at this point.

Whatever happened to realistic comparisons and aspirations these days.

I'm thinking we just need a special Fournette only forum.

Put it in between the Panther and the Draft forums.

    • I agree with OP notion, QBs always get credited for game winning drives even if they do minimal. Just last night Caleb got credited for a GE drive when they basically ran the ball the whole drive and only had to go 36 yards.   And there are drives where Bryce could of had a game winning drive if not for a Legette drop vs Philly or a Chubba fumble vs Tampa
    • You are actually, genuinely comparing Bryce to Jimmy fuging Pickles? Jimmy accounted for 3 touchdowns in his 10 starts in 2010. In Bryce’s 10 games post benching last year, he accounted for 20 touchdowns. Jimmy threw three touchdowns in 2010. Three. Bryce has thrown 10 touchdowns through 6 games. He is currently on track to throw for 3300 yards, 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Wtf are we even talking about anymore. I mean seriously
    • Tepper? The guy that directs the coaches towards goals that he set for them… that guy. He is the one.    I don’t think he ever was going to be expelled from class, they had him come in for garbage time maybe the 2nd week he was benched.  I will say this. People said he wasn’t under pressure the last part of the year when he did better, but he was fighting for his career and that’s pressure. And he saved his career too. I don’t reject him for those kinds of things I reject him for the physical things. I have always brought it down to he has slim margin for error and has to be perfect. People with the tool set have a little fatter margin for error. Why make it harder on yourself? Got nothing to do with hating him.  I am no statistician but game that margin thing out a lot and see how that works.
