Gettleman's Pre Draft Presser

I wonder if Dave will drop any gems on what he would prefer to draft early, offense or defense or even specific positions. This is the first time in a while we have made quality signings before the draft and I wonder if theirs a specific plan in place. I'm hoping if who we want on the big board is there at 8 we don't hesitate to call their name but if there isn't anyone there we wanted SPECIFICALLY, I hope we trade down for more collateral. Ideally if we can get a DE, TE, RB, S, or CB with that pick trading down wouldn't be too necessary but honestly nobody really knows who's on their big board, of all teams I think the Panthers are one that are famous for drafting for their preference rather than who's statistically best at that pick.

We're NOT trading down. I can guarantee you that. But I hope someone asks him specifically about trading up. Of course he wont say yes or no but we may get a good idea if he will attempt to do so by the way he answers the question.

A Pre draft presser" from a GM.   That is like asking inmates if they committed the crime for which they are incarcerated.  It is like getting a "hand update" from a poker player during an "all-in" bluff.  It is like your answer when your wife asks you if you like her mother.... out of bullets.

      Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.

      I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
