this is a false dichotomy. mid first round =/= crap just as number 2 pick =/= amazing.

You are never one player away and lord knows we need the depth and talent two seconds and a first can provide

what this board wants is a bunch of rejects they can hype up and get all excited for who will wash out in 4 years time.

You choose one blue chip star over 3 "adequate role players" every day every time.

thus is the point behind using free agency to fill needs

if the browns take trubisky then the Ninets would simply take Garrett and would withdraw any offers made

do you people not think

I think its going to be cleveland 1-2 taking Garrett/ Trubisky (makes the most sense with the amount of pick they have rather get value than quanity now)

2 other QBs will be taken in top 15

Fournette at 8  &  then a trade up scenario

this team didn't go through what it went through last year to come away with some garbage like Derek Barnett or mike Williams and a mid round "solid locker room role mode with a great lunchpail."

You leave this draft with somebody who will reignite your franchise or you get gone.

Yea because we've had so many rejects in the first three rounds that have washed out in their first four years under Gettleman...

also Fournette is not a blue chip star. He has injury issues, there are doubts of whether he is athletic enough, can catch out of the backfield well enough, not to mention the whole issue with tacking a RB in the top ten much less top two

I'm not saying Fournette won't be good but to act like he's a sure fire Pro-Bowler is silly

solid investment strategy. no way things could go wrong there.
