So much for extra practice

I disagree. If people would use a little more common sense, it would help a lot. The ironic thing, is that if Fox actually behaved the way a lot of fans want him to behave when the cameras are rolling, he would have been fired long ago. We have all seen what happens when coaches go all Denny Green or Jim Mora. They go from respected head coach, to the laughing stock of the NFL in the blink of an eye.
Sorry, monstercat, but common sense is like our team's tackling. You'd think it's something easy, yet...:(

And just for the fun of it...

Good God....this fanbase is worse than the Lions or Saints have EVER been.

I know the team is not playing well and we all are upset with that. But the people who are constantly bashing everything about this organization have gone over the top. We have resorted to posting insults about everyone and everythin. We are making fun of this team the way the rest of the league made fun of the Bucs, Saints, and Lions of old. Be frustrated and discuss what is and could be happening.....kill the juevenile insults.

This is not how we want the rest of the league to judge the Panther fanbase.

I agree with you,it's almost like we are not fans, including myself.Look to the bright side people,we got the Redskins next at home.At the same venue we didn't lose a game in last season. The Panthers were the only team to do this in whole league last season. The good part is,we did it with this same team that is going to play in that game.

Heck, give them five days off on the bye week, let the heal up and get their heads right about what they are supposed to be doing. And every person on that team better be watching the Redskins play the Bucs this weekend, because that's our next two opponents.

Good lord, this will be the worst NFL game of the season so far by a long shot........

Until we play them both the following two weeks. Then it's a toss-up.

The upside to playing the Skins after our bye is that we are losers and going to probably be fired up whereas they are going to feel more confident and complacent after their win against Tampa Bay. Thus if the trend I see in professional football continues we will destroy them or at least beat them both scorewise and playwise throughout the game.

    • I think they are holding back to see what they have in the young guys, but I think it's a near certainty at some point they will bring someone else in. Right now (assuming we keep 5 CBs which is normal), the top 5 IMO are: 1) Jaycee Horn 2) Mike Jackson 3) Chau Smith-Wade 4) Shemar Bartholomew  5) Akayleb Evans   Obviously Jaycee is the alpha in that room and paid as such. Need him to stay healthy and continue to play at a Pro-Bowl level. Mike Jack did pretty well all things considered last year, and they gave him lower-level starter money. Fair deal for both sides.  Smith-Wade showed some promise as a slot CB. I think low-key he's a lock for the team. Different size and skill set than the other CBs. Shemar Bartholomew was the most sought after waiver claim last preseason. Was 5th CB most and inactive most of last year. Had a few defensive and ST snaps. Nothing of note good or bad but too small a sample size to make any judgment. Akayleb Evans was a 2022 4th Rounder for the Vikings. Has started 19 games (including Week 18 for the Panthers) in his career and played in 43. Was pretty good in 2023 before getting injured and falling down the depth chart last year. There's some other guys on the outside looking in, but until they show more in training camp I dont see anyway they make the 53. And only Jaycee, Mike Jack, and Smith-Wade are locks to make this roster IMO.
    • Was just reading the Ask the Old Guy story on the team's website and was shocked to see that only two 2nd Rounders have signed so far, 30 of them haven't. That isn't normal, the Texans really screwed things up for the rest of the league, no other explanation that I can think of for 30 of the 32 picks to still be unsigned at this point.
    • They need to address CB before season starts. This is not going to cut it.
