I'm not absolutely certain they will replace him.

From what I know, the title was given as a reward for Beane's work, not because the team felt they needed to create an assistant GM position.

They might hire someone else, but I won't be shocked if they don't.

Source close to Bills GM search tells me Beane's experience in all areas of football (college scout, pro scout, cap) are a big plus for him.

Beane seems like a pretty sharp guy. I kind of liked the idea of him learning behind Gettleman and eventually taking over. Oh well. They should bring in Marc Ross to take Beane's spot or just hire him when Gettleman hangs it up.
