lets say Andrew Luck decides to come out in 2011

Neither QB is capable of dragging an average team to the SB and winning it all.

Name one outside of Brady

And even then Belichick is a fuging genius and can make poo look like gold.

There's not a single QB that can take a "mediocre" team to the super bowl, especially this day and age. Every team that has beento the super bowl this decade has a had a very good team.

Luck is a very good QB. Overrated a tad and the media covers his ass for things they shouldn't (way too many turnovers, very fragile, makes throws no QB should.), but Gringson has done that team no favors. There's only 3 other competent starters on that team, and they're all on offense. Without luck they'd be a 2-4 win team.

That said I'd still take Cam. He's a much better QB and has actually made it to the Super Bowl with a lot less, offensively at least. This isn't me being a homer, Cam is the best athlete in the NFL and I'm actually glad Luck stayed.

If cam was on the colts in that poo division he'd win it every year. If luck was on the Panthers, we don't make the super bowl. The end

He wouldn't be though.  The Colts had the 22nd pick that year, so he might have ended up on the Broncos.  However, at the time they had The Golden Calf of Bristol and Fox was their new coach.  He would have wanted to go forward with the Von Miller pick and would have lobbied hard for that.  That leaves Buffalo at 3 and Cincinnati at 4.  I think he ends up in Buffalo instead of Marcell Dareus.  If he did slide past there, then he probably would have dropped to Tennessee at 8, although there's a chance Cleveland would have taken him instead of trading the pick to Atlanta (who took Julio Jones).

At any rate, no way does Cam play for Indianapolis.

It was a hypothetical situation. Meaning cam could do more with what luck has been given in Indy.

OK, contrarian

Meh, it's your popular opinion, and some Panthers fans on here.  No need to hate on Luck, since he's better than Cam.  Hopefully Cam can fix his footwork this offseason and become a more accurate QB.  Oh wait, no, no, that's not going to happen.

I get it.  Believe me, I get it.  At what point do we stop using excuses though?  Besides 2015, Cam has been erratic, and really inaccurate.  Not just inaccurate, but REALLY inaccurate.  Do I blame Cam for these problems?  Meh, his footwork has always needed fixing, but the coaches and the people around him haven't fixed it.  So, I blame mostly the people around him for his inaccuracy issues.

I'd still take Cam.

Luck is more accurate yes, but I'd far from say Cam is inaccurate. He let's some go and rushes his mechanics. But when he's in a groove and the offense is geling, he's one of the best QBs in the league.
