Really? Greg Olsen has missed 2 games in his entire career, both in his rookie season. He's also coming off his three most productive seasons.

And he keeps getting older. You're looking too much at the past. He will continue to age and the likelihood of an injury or deterioration continues to go up. He isn't gonna last forever and I'm betting that reality hits us in the next two years.

It's bizarre seeing people act like Greg Olsen is all but completely washed up in defense of Gettleman without somehow realizing we've basically made no effort whatsoever in acquiring another TE worth a poo to pair with him since 2011.

As part of the best D-line in football. Good players are never a wasted pick and it's utter stupidity to judge Butler to be a bad player after just his rookie season. If you're just going to judge him by the fact that his position is a deep on on the team, then Luke Keuchly was a terrible pick too because we were stacked at LBer at the time.

Hurney is the one who put this team in salary cap hell. Stupid fans keep on complaining that Gettleman doesn't sign every big name FA out there, but there is a damn good reason for that. Hurney made it impossible.

Do you even read posts, or attempt to comprehend them? Nowhere have I stated he was a terrible GM, or that the timing of this is just fine. But trashing your own key franchise players is the sort of behavior I would expect to see from Saints fans. I'm not going to pat someone on the back for behaving like an asshat because their GM they idolized got the can.
