Just saw Rapoport  on TV and he says it's an MCL sprain. That's great news, if true. FTR, he also called that a cheap shot.

It was. It was a peel back block which were recently made illegal and don't have a place in preseason even if they are legal.

4-6

Didn't Daryl Williams have the same thing his rookie year?

I think so. I remember Kemba Walker had a similar injury and it took 6 weeks. I just didn't know if it differed from sport to sport because different body types and movement etc.

If it is in fact 4-6 weeks he could be back in time for the Saints game, which would be nice.

Very true.

Although the Panthers are in such a lucky position right now to have two stud defensive tackles ready to go. I feel like most teams would kill just to have one.

It is nice, but we need all the advantages we can get when we go up to New England on October 1st. Having a fully healthy d-line rotation would definitely help.

Well that's not specific at all. A sprain could be a pretty serious thing depending on the grade.

Yeah, not to be a Debbie downer but I think kb's acl tear was also first described as a sprain... So hoping for the best but not relieved yet

I hope Rivera submits it to the league

The announcers talked about how there would probably be a fine coming for that one.

I also liked how Garrett got obviously smacked upside the head in the pocket on a play where we were ironically flagged for illegal hands to the face. Cam isn't the only  Panther QB that gets no respect from the refs.

    • Me too. I don’t like to advertise it much but I played it for a living for a lot of years. Other music too, to make a living. If you could call it a living. We should talk sometime. Bet we know some of the same people if you played in NC. I am SC but used to play all over up there. Years ago.
    • Bryce is undoubtedly mediocre to average at best in processing and decision making. He is in no way shape or form some mini Peyton Manning or a mental savant. And it is absurdly insulting that people are still simultaneously pretending otherwise while insinuating other QB's are basically mental midgets. Like man someone has to be really damn dug in to come post something like that 4 years in. The cope is real folks.
    • The NFL and ESPN had their merger doing this, idk if that's part of it or not.
