I just don't understand what people are expecting to find on the waiver wires. Do people really thing there is a better version of DA without a job right now? He was once a starter, for crying out loud.

YES.  Gilbert and Webb.  They knew our system and both seriously outperformed DA, esp Gilbert.

Ron Rivera was once a starter too, should we put him out there in front of Luke?

So we cut a guy who hit his ceiling vs a guy who fell into the basement?

Falling into the basement in your junior year in college in your first year operating in a new system is different than doing it when you've been in the league for awhile. Kaaya might end up being here for 2 weeks and end up sucking in practices but it's a worthwhile risk at the bottom of the roster.

    • Two most important people on the field are betas with zero leadership skills. I can’t wait until they’re both gone.
    • It's a combo really.  Canales and Bryce are both just not doing great.   Canales choices on the run game this season has lost us games.  Bryce still does a lot of bonehead stuff like not running it in for the TD.  But Canales not running the ball didn't really help open things up either.  Also the team just looks unprepared weekly.  That's on coaching.  I agree that he needs to be a HC or an OC and not both.  We need a real play caller in here.   I do agree, I'd like to see Canales with a QB that he feels fits his system more but even without that not running the ball is just crazy.
    • Maybe Canales is playing 3D chess. He's trying to show to the FO why picking up Bryce's 5th year option ain't a good idea.
