i am so upset about a thing that happened

Setting up an endzone strip sack via a criminal call which cost Super Bowl 50 and an 18-1 season?  Salt in the wound with an absurdly hypocritical call on national TV by the same crew?  Yeah, I'm hot.

Well, Cotchery's WAS a catch and the refs fuged that one up badly.

Cotch no catch was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. Strip sack the next play. My heart still aches. Cost us the bowl. Put a hundy on the Panthers that year at 40-1. Didn't care about the money but we got totally shafted. Now I hate life again.

But, speaking of this new replay review stuff being handled by the league office, so far in the games I've watched it basically means that call isn't being overturned no matter what. That "fumble" by Kirk Cousins that sealed the Redskins' loss that was as obvious of an incomplete pass as you'll ever seen not getting overturned this weekend was absolutely atrocious.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
