Beason is Calling out Pep on WFNZ

Jbro I'm not calling you a liar by ANY means...but in my opinion he wasn't really calling him out...it was same old Beas speaking about Pep..."he's a great guy and we're friends and blah blah...."...He did say Friday Nights the team goes out and they'll talk but it DEFINITELY wasn't a bashing. PLus I just came from work and I wasn't listening TOO intently...but I did hear him say something like I was talking to Pep and said "Did you watch that game...You've got to play man" (something along those lines...NOT NEAR his exact wording though...)

Point Being/Summary: He didn't call him out...

He said he has not talked to him at all this week, so no he did not say that. And you are right he did not call out peppers he called out "The DE with the C on his shoulder".

Who cares??? I mean honestly...why the hell should a player like Julius Peppers need to be taken out to dinner to get him motivated? This just confirms all the crap that Panthers fans now know about Pep. We are 0-3 and our defense has given up...38, 28, and 21 points. We are in a division with IMO the 3rd best team in football right now and an ATL team that is very strong as well. They should have had this talk with him after the ATL game when he shat his pants and did nothing against Sam Baker...

Their was a player who did this same thing but got dogged for doing and saying the same thing. Now he is in NY with a 3-1 record and another trip too the Pro Bowl wating at the end of the season. Must I say his name?

Your allowed to call out individuals but once you start talking about the team lacking something as a whole, your out the door.

While I'm glad that Beason is recognizing Peppers' apathy and speaking up about it, I can't really see this going over very well. What player is going to respond positively to being called out on the radio? This could lead to some bad locker room chemistry which would just make matters worse. However, if Beason can somehow talk some sense into Pep and convince him to go off and become the unstoppable force that he is capable of being, then it will speak volumes about the amount of respect Beason commands in the locker room.

I wonder about that also. I trust that Beason has a better read on him than we do, but Pep doesn't strike me as being one who is unfazed by public call outs. I still think that JR's asking him to take more of a leadership role affected him a bit that year.

The team was lacking and everybody knew what he was talking about. Buck confrimed it and he agreed with Kris.

PS. Over the years alot of player have said the team was lacking and weren't talk about like they were a cancer.
