It's not that hard to see if you aren't a full on rainbow colored glasses homer. Pats was a good win, especially in their house, but their defense blew so many assignments. Not to mention we went into conservative mode and if not for Gilmore gifting us that 3rd and long penalty, we most likely lose. Detroit lions a good win, but we again went conservative and let the Lions waltz back into the game like it was nothing. If not for a clutch Cam completion on 3rd and long, we also most likely lose.

Point being, you are not wrong to feel pessimistic because majority of us know this coaching staff is absolute trash and is holding back this team with so much talent. It feels bad to know that EVERY game either Ron or Shula will go full retard and fug us over somehow. Yeah, 4-2 is good and all, but what is our goal this year? To just make the playoffs? I'm sorry, the way these coaching are already b*tching out, we are setting up for disappointment in the playoffs.

I don't even think we make the playoffs.  I don't see how we stop Atlanta this year if they have Julio and Sanu healthy.

Peppers is one of the best pure athletes to ever play football, only he will decide when he's too old.

CJ is a normal player, at his end.

I don't think the team lacks heart. Kelvin was fighting, Cam was fighting, quite a few were fighting.

many just aren't that good.

Phily still almost lost with all of our mistakes and bad coaching. I don't think they were the better team, they just made a lot less catastrophic mistakes.

Both of the tipped pass and Stewart fumble- interception were like when Favre was blamed for losing to the Saints.

Take back some really ridiculous catastrophic errors by Adrian Peterson and it would have been a blow out for Minnesota and Peyton would have gone down to Favre.

Phily should have gone down but they didn't commit butt fumbles,...

Maybe the players have all been made dumber by Shula and Rons Billy Madison speeches-- only thing I can say for Stewart.

the negative runs were mostly on the line and Shula, but the freak interception was on him-- Shula making him dumber.

i award Shula and Ron no points and may God have mercy on their souls,..

    • Possible, he is physical and a forchecker but not a needle mover, but i wouldnt mind it
    • The problem with these summary stats and rankings is that they flatten out progression and assume an even performance throughout the year. His first 3 or 4 games of the season don't really tell you anything about his current level of capacity but more about where he started and what his floor was last year. Given his last several games were against playoff teams, that gives you an idea of his current ability coming into the season. But it will serve more as a floor than a ceiling given the upgrade in talent on offense. And a better defense should give us more stops which results in shorter fields and more opportunities. And going into his third year there is no reason to suspect he will regress. His success wasn't  based on being superhuman but being smart and taking what was the defense was giving him. Distributing to the other guys not trying to do it on his own. He was great at the end when pressured and consistently moved the ball. That makes him a great game manager which is what we need. Something that is easier to do and relies on everyone else rather than having to be a top physical specimen or do it on his own. No one can predict the future but to say we haven't improved much is crazy given just having the Browns anchoring the defensive line will shut down the run and make sure QBs won't be stepping up in the pocket.  Assuming Evero got the message to can the prevent defense and bend until you break philosophy.
    • If the Canes don't bring back Tyson Jost or Jack Roslovic, is Tanner Jeannot an option? https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2025/06/senators-expected-to-show-interest-in-tanner-jeannot.html
