You see this is a place where people say things that others might not agree with. It's sort of how it works. 

This is about somebody drawing attention to them self.

People paid to watch a dang excavator dig a hole for no reason. The money was used to buy frivolous things. This is not the worst way to waste money. 

Also this made the news, it's getting attention. People in the organization don't care what a bunch of jackoffs say in a forum. But if the news is saying people are so upset they are paying money for something like this, I bet you they are paying attention.

Most of the donations are between 10 to 20 dollars.  Basically the price of going to see a movie at your local movie theater.  If you don't think watching the banner fly and now subsequent news coverage is worth more than a weekday trip to the movie theater, that's your prerogative.

 

No one is asking that people stop doing any charitable donations to focus on this project.  This is about coming together as a fan base and having our voices heard. Again, if that isn't worth 20$, what is?
