These refs screwed us

We won a game against a talented Packers team when their playoff future was on the line and Aaron Rodgers doing his darnedest to come back and white knight his way to the playoffs. They were a quality team playing for everything yesterday, it was their make it or break it game and they threw everything they had at us.

Our coaches and players played one of their best games of the year, our defensive backfield had their best game ever, Cam Newton through for four TDs and about 60% accuracy, Greg Olsen has returned to form and Damiere Byrd came out and showed he deserves a starting position on this team for the rest of the season and probably beyond.

There was no letting up from our players, we just faced one of the best QBs and coaching staffs in the league and came out with a win.

Enjoy it! Quit wringing your hands and hating -- it's getting old.

This is unacceptable and they need to investigate themselves along with JR for them giving Aaron and the Packers opportunities to win. This bullshit needs to be called out by the players, coaches and GM

At least we're not the Steelers. As Buford T. Justice would say on the edited for network TV version of Smokey and the bandit, that was a bunch of bullsquirt!

You didn't see that last drive

Late flag on special teams, one of the latest I've ever seen gave them 5 yards. Then they called holding, another 5 yards. Then they didn't allow us to substitute which led to a TD

I didnt see any substitution by GB, you got any evidence they did? Ron had a timeout, should have used it since the defense was still trying to figure out what was going on. We weren't going to need it on offense at that point.

Plus, the refs gave us Byrd's TD and if you really think they were out to screw us, how do you explain them overturning that incomplete pass to a TD, would have been easy as pie to just say "call stands not enough evidence."

The touchdown was not a call that could've went either way, smh. It was a touchdown plain and simple. The catch and fumble was also a clear fumble. The refs didn't do us any favors at all. Y'all might want to invest into some hdtv's.

Remember the Eagles game in 2015? Ginn caught the ball, turned upfield, got tackled, hit the ground, then lost control of the football and the Eagles defender grabbed it? That was ruled an interception. If that play could have been ruled an interception with even more evidence that Ginn had possession, then the play yesterday could have easily been called incomplete. It was the same referee in both instances.

    • I don't think it was fear of the unknown because he tried to hide the extent of the injuries that made him drop. After the drop, the reports I heard were that teams knew what was wrong with his knee and it was something similar to another athlete from a few years ago (honestly don't remember if it was even a football player).  That it was basically one of those things where he should be fine for a while, there isn't a huge concern of immediate injury risk.   But what he has going on with his knee is something that is degenerative and there's little chance he'll be able to play more than 5 or so years on it before he won't be able to play anymore. So basically it was teams knowing if they draft him, he's probably going to be only a rookie contract player and even if he's great, you might not be able to get use out of him on a second contract.  Which in turn makes the drop make sense, but I'm kinda surprised some contending team didn't take him late in the 1st, hoping he'd put them over the top on a SB run but then not even have to worry about giving him a big contract in 4 years too.
    • Depends if they see the writing on the wall with their roster and contracts and decide to bite the bullet and begin a complete rebuild and roster overhaul.  I have no clue why some franchises (IE us) refuse to do this and keep half assing trying to win 8 games or so.  Do it correctly, take your lumps and build a contender.  We shall see what loomis decides.
    • Each team plays 17 games.  I do not see why they don't just have each team play one international game per year.  Neutral site game, 8 home, 8 away.
