Having knowledge of sexual harassment in the workplace and failing to report it is enough to cost someone their job.

I suspect JR won't be the last one in the Panthers organization to lose their situation over this.

This would get most everyone in the workforce fired. I'm not so sure this is true...especially when it's the owner or any high up exec. It's why they are so dangerous. Everyone is intimidated.

All very plausible.

From the tone of the stories, at least some of it was going on right out in the open.  And there have been rumors of Richardson going a little off the rails for a while now.  I'd say it's very plausible that he just lost his filters and became the proverbial creepy old pervert (not good for someone in a power position).

That said, the fact that he was said to "groom" women gradually makes him look more like a predator than just a creepy old man, so who knows?

If saying things make someone creepy or perverted you have to count half the make population

Uh oh!

The potential for more embarrassing revelations is now back in play.

It's possible the NFL will interview guys like Danny Morrison, Dave Gettleman, Brandon Beane and even Marty Hurney and Ron Rivera to find out what they know.  Questions could be asked of current ownership partners as well.

The rollercoaster ride may not be over just yet.

This is music to my ears. "Mister's" penalty cannot be just sweeping this under the rug and receiving $2.5 billion. Every single incident of harassment needs to be reported. The NFL needs to get to the bottom Of this and expose the truth. I don't say it often, but well done NFL.

These “victims”got their cash already...sick and tired of the left and their agendas

Hillarious once again i never voted democrat once in my life. Voted republican my entire life for every position until this year's presidential election, where I just didnt vote at all. So no, I do not fit your stereotype.

The victims you claim that got paid out, were preyed on and harassed over a period of time. Yes, they got paid out, but they also lost jobs they loved because Jerry Richardson is an asshole. I truly don't understand how clueless some of you people are. You have built this image of Jerry, which has always been a joke since day 1, and you guys refuse to let go.

This reminds me of the "Joebots" from Penn State. The old weirdos who refused to let go of joe paterno and boycotted games and protested at Penn State. The intelligent fans with hearts who realize that Jerry is an awful person will continue to support the franchise, and through time the weird "Joebots" will disappear.

    • I'm probably one of those posters, but I make those posts because there are too many things going on that don't make sense. For instance, how does a RB that does something that hasn't been done in 14 years immediately get reverted back to 2nd string, and it takes a leadership council to make him the starter when he's averaging 3x the YPC? Your average fan shouldn't be screaming that for 2 weeks before the coach sees it. And that's one of many.  What you're seeing is frustration that we could be better, that we should be better, if our owner, FO, and coaches could do things that are so painfully obvious to even the most basic fan
    • Cowboys. Patriots. Couldn't ask for two bigger villains.
    • I think we're all struggling with what things are right now and what they have been. It's like getting ready to have bandages removed after a long period of injury. The healing, the new growth, they aren't going to be pretty, there's going to be some ongoing issues for a while at best and there's every chance that we're going to have to go back into the bandage situation all over again. And that sucks. But it's also a place where maybe, just maybe, the recovery is going to finally start happening. The bad days will be getting behind us.  It's not going to happen this year, but I believe from what I see that this year is showing that improvement. We focus on the QB because that's what all the pundits focus on, because it's the flashiest and most heralded position on the field. No one wants to put out a tweet about how a center is holding down their job and anchoring a line. They rarely celebrate that blocking tight end or special teams gunner. That fourth CB on the depth chart? Not a mention. And yet, those guys are the kind that we've been building here, we're building the lunch pail guys AND finding some future stars.  Is Bryce one of them? Might be a cornerstone of the team in the future as the second QB, might somehow just show out to end the season. Might flame out like many expect. But if that uncertainty is all we concentrate on, we're just going to miserably look at this team and maybe miss out on some solid green shoots that are finally beginning to poke through into the sunlight.
