i always thought chase daniel wouldn't translate well into an nfl qb. brad smith randel-el kind of athlete that couldn't pull off the qb position at this level.

This is the first "let's get such-and-such QB and it will be awesome" thread that I actually thought, "hmm, that's not a bad idea".

He did look really good in preseason with the Skins. There was a lot of talk around here about him. I really liked him at Missouri. He's one of those QBs who's biggest asset isn't a tangible skill or physical attribute but rather his ability to win games. Simply put: he is a winner.

Also, Drew Brees has done for QBs what Steve Smith has done for WRs. The "He's too short" argument should never be a reason to deny a QB his shot. I would actually support this acquisition.

yeah they are the same height,but you have to train your o-line to be at certain spots so the qb than have lanes to throw thru and see thru,and it's hard to see all the db's and safeties,thats why short qb's are frowned on

Ah you're right. I remembered it was one of those big-name college quarterbacks that had no business playing in the NFL. But that was a fun 90 minutes or so as we all just KNEW that Graham Harrell would be the new starter.

Daniel is a stud
