Dorsey available again?

Ive made 2 threads about the misplaced Glenn Dorsey sitting on the bench in KC. The guy needs too be in a 4-3 in the worst of ways. He's young, huge potential upside, we need a DT of the future.

Lots of trade rumors going down lately..If we could get Quinn and Dorsey some way or another i would be very happy with the future of our team. Late picks could get these guys..

So i know its been brought up a million times here before, but Glenn Dorsey anyone?

We couldn't get both of them. I'd only be willing to trade a late pick, we can't give up anymore selections unless we plan to trade someone.

But if we could pull off a player for player deal I'd be willing to give them Hayden or maybe Brayton. We can't afford to give up alot right now.

I would give our 2nd for this guy.

I would too, considering if the coaching staff any tissue in their skull called a brain, we'd be looking for a DT with that pick anyhow. Why not get one that already has some NFL experience under his belt and is still very young.

Quinn would have to start over in a new system and I'm not convinced he's that good of a pro anyway.

As to Dorsey, I'm only for that trade if it does not involve giving up Peppers.

(in other words, it's not gonna happen)

I agree. As OP said, I would be willing to part with this next year's 2nd or 3rd (not both) for Dorsey, but we keep Pepp. I'd even be willing to throw in another player i.e. LB (Connor, Anderson or Johnson) to make it happen (which means it won't).

Yea, Peppers is dying to stay in town at the end of this season and it would be a shame to move him in order to bring in a guy like Dorsey who could anchor the D Line for a decade.

If it makes sense, don't do it.

    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
    • 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
    • Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
