Draftwire 4 Round Mock

Recommended Posts

I wasn't overly impressed by this mock draft.  Our first rounder in this one is a replacement for KB.  We don't need another big WR.  If we are going WR in round one we need speed.  Funchess is a #2 and does better when he isn't the focus of defenses.

Round 1. Courtland Sutton WR LSU

Round 2. Tyrell Crosby OT Oregon (thoughts)

Round 3. (From Buffalo) Duke Ejiofor Edge Wake Forrest (thoughts)

Round 3. Donte Jackson CB LSU

Round 4. Traded to Cleveland

I did notice that Nick Chubb RB from Georgia would go to Cleveland in round two after our pick.   This would be a nice pickup if he were available in round 2.

Still can't believe Dave traded a 4th for a fuging punter

The gift that keeps on taking like Hurney.

If he would have left after 2015 we would all cry,...

but after the garbage he left us,...... thanks Dave for 2016 and thanks even more for setting us up for this season which will go down like chewing bubble gum with the rapper on,...

James Washington in the first is a terrible pick

LB in the Third would be the most luxury or luxury picks.

Sutton isn't KB. Or Funch.

Sutton actually has some agility and plays up to his size constantly. His feet and hips are way more loose and fluid than most big body wide receivers and that expands his route tree a lot more than Kelvin's, which would, in a world where our OC could actually make good route trees, would be a different beast with Sutton and Funchess than Kelvin and Funchess.

Sutton is also...I wouldn't say speedier but quicker than Kelvin and can do a lot more after the catch.

Drafting for need gets your McClain and Fua

And Worley.

Only Tyreek Hill would have CLEARLY been a better football asset for this football team taken after Worley, and obviously we weren’t taking a guy that beat and strangled his pregnant girlfriend.

Washington looked good in the highlights but he didn't look that fast, so you're probably right there, kinda like exchanging KB for shorter KB.

And I think and LB is necessary because we very much need an heir for Davis. We'll need one within a season or two and the dude I found looked like he had fantastic coverage skills.

    • Still working on consuming all of these so I don't have summaries available, but I figured there might be another Huddler or three trying to kill time before tonight's final preseason game.   Panthers Blueprint: Training Camp The in-house produced Blueprint series has given behind-the-scenes look on the field and off. Start the day with Robert Hunt's family, be in the morning meetings, mic'd up players during practice (Jaycee, Rozeboom, Icky, and Bryce), roster evaluations by the staff, and plenty of camp highlights capping off with FanFest.   Processing Blue (Mike Kaye & Alex Zietlow Mike and Alex are back talking about a variety of topics including but not limited to: joint practice + preseason game vs. Houston, Trey Hendrickson trade rumors involving Carolina, training camp awards, draft pick draft, and various thoughts about the team.   Jordan & Jake 706: Opening Day Another in-house Panthers' production, the most recent episode of Jordan and Jake talk about how to properly balance intensity in practice, react to the starters being shutdown for the preseason finale, share their thoughts on the newest Panther QB, and more.   Raw Room - Ep 278 - Gas Pedal (ft. Mike Davis) Assistant special teams' coach Darren Bates' Raw Room podcast has former Panthers' RB Mike Davis on his weekly podcast. I'm about halfway through this one and it's been a lot of fun. The Raw Room guys (DB, his friend Alex Sweets, former Eagles/Chargers OT King Dunlap, and former Atlanta DB Jalen Collins) are hilarious and Mike fits right in. They talk about his football experience coming up, decommitting from Florida and how he decided on South Carolina, and more. Warning: If you're the type of person that is easily distracted by accents, despite XL being on the team, you might have issues with understanding the Memphis dialect. If you don't care about how somebody talks, just what they're talking about, tune in!
    • Allen was borderline unplayable in College.  He's an absolute unicorn in terms of his career panning out the way it has.
    • It's a step up in competition as well. The gap in athletic skill is narrowed from what was faced at the college level.
