god no norwell's the best player on offense not named cam. letting him go would get cam killed with matt kalil getting no help.

norwell should be a top tier priority, even above receivers. paul richardson and sammy watkins likely could be affordable options anyways.

So break the bank to keep another guard so that this line that everyone b!tches about stays together? No thank you.

At some point you need guys like Moton to step in and play, that’s why you draft them.

WR > Norwell

We cant afford to resign Norwell.

We sunk enough money into the line at some point someone needs to step in and play, maybe that’s where Moton comes in.

Norwell’s money would be better off spent on WR’s

What about the tag?

Even though Funchess dropped that last throw that could've won the game for us, I still got to commend him for playing through with one arm.

His left shoulder was clearly hurt all game and I think it affected him a lot. Kudos to him for at least toughening through that and making plays earlier against Lattimore.

Just to make sure, everyone is bashing Funchess for not catching the ball thrown on the 3rd and 23 after the “grounding” right?

I can only hope tonight was finally the eye opener for whoever is in charge to go “hmm maybe I should sign some actual WR’s”.

If tonight needed to happen for the above to happen then so damn well be it. Already wasted 6 years of Cam’s career what’s one more. Give the man WR’s and win the SB in years 8 and 9

Do you think if Samuel and Byrd were back we need more help?

I would drop Shepherd and add a quality vet, call it a day. With Cam, Olsen, Funch, CMC, Samuel, Byrd and a reliable vet I think we got it.

Injuries screwed us around. Imo.

Yeah, I don't think we need a total overhaul. I'm fine with Funchess at one starting outside spot, Samuel in the slot, Byrd at the 4, and Clay as dedicated return man and #5. We need a legit stsrter to pair with Funchess and we're looking pretty good at WR IMO.

Nobody wants to hear it around here because we are in burn it down mode but it is honestly one of the best team games we’ve played all year. The run defense against that monster tandem was outstanding. Cam was brilliant. The problem in this game was we were matched up against a first ballot hall of famer who made every throw and a group of receivers who made every catch.

I hate to admit it but The saints are the class of the nfc. Their record doesn’t reflect it because of their poor start and the questionably officiated Atlanta game and Payton giving away the Tampa game, but they are the all around best this year.

I’m hoping Minnesota gives them a loss. If not, Brees likely gets his second ring.

IMO Byrd is a nice WR3 and Samuel 4 on the depth chart. I agree with you that Shep needs to go as does Clay.

I’d love to go get Calvin Ridley this draft (best route runner in some damn time).

There’s a solid group of FA WR’s this offseason (2014 WR draft class), there’s really no excuses this offseason.

Agreed. Injuries and a vet away.

Agree. I would keep Clay for returns and work on his hands.
