A guy that once posted an animated pic of a Police Officer’s throat slashed?  And this thread made 3 pages at the top already?  What a waste of time and space.  He’ never be a Panther.

Hold up since he's been in the NFL, has he had any run-ins with the law?

The fresher the better. I’m for a mid to late round flier, especially given the recent history of teams finding RBs in almost every round and as UDFAs. I.E—Kareem Hunt, Jamal williams, Chris Carson, Tarik Cohen, heck, Wayne Gallman didn’t even look half that bad.

Draft class is looking pretty decent at running back .

- Nick Chubb (had a terrible national championship so he might drop to us)

- Bo Scarborough

- Rashaad Penny (lead college this season in total rushing yards)

- Sony Michel

- Royce Freeman

- Ronald Jones

- Darrius Guice (unlikely to get him, should go in top 20 picks)

- Damien Harris (8 yards a carry WTF?)

- Josh Adams  He averaged 7.8 yards per carry for 2,248 yards with 23 touchdowns, plus made 19 receptions for 135 yards and two scores

I'd be very happy with Adams , Scarborough,  Freeman in the mid rounds.  Chubb or Guice in R2 would be steals.

Fair enough.  Apologies.  Surprised no one else mentioned it.

I think the front office doesn't read message boards and whatever we say isn't going to influence them one way or the other. We were a better team with Stewart in, despite what people said of CAP and CMC.

Well, don’t talk with your friends about what the team should do, either, because the front office isn’t listening. Don’t even think about it!

You have to consider that Ron might be playing the short game here.  By that I mean he's not thinking of building for the future, past his current contract.  If that's the case he doesn't have time to develop a draft pick.  If the answer is on the roster then that's how he will probably go.

FA and the draft will provide some clues into what he's probably thinking.  Look at where they make additions in the off-season.

True, which is probably the motivation behind his OC hire as well. Find someone who can run the current offense without many adjustments but also manage the play calling better as well. That way you don’t have to take lumps learning a new system.

If he is gonna start he needs the get on page with Newton. Those miscues in the ATL game were worrisome to me. May just be from not working together as often.

Not enough reps will do that.  He can get the job done if need be.  If they get a chance at a stud I'm certain they will think hard about taking him.

That's the theory I'm going with.  It makes the most sense given the position Ron is in.
