Shinn level stupidity..

WOW!!

Why?  We are a avg at best team.  Who has peaked, we arent a contender.

We have a superstar who's contract is up soon, and when its up will likely leave for a contender.

Might as well take the hit and get something for him and start to rebuild.

Or we can keep him.  Keep throwing a parade all excited because we finished with a .500 record.  Then he walks and were sitting here with this same team minus Kemba, thats hands are tied with that terrible Batum contract where we cant sign a big FA.  And we go to being bottom feeders for the following 3-5 seasons.

We keep him and its a looong next 6-8 years of losing seasons

Or blow it up, actually gives us hope and possibly bounce back and be even better in 2-3 years

There is literally, absolutely no hope with this franchise. You need to realize and accept that. Trading your only good player for the 21st pick in the draft or whatever and to shed Batum or Howard will leave this team struggling to go 9-73 for the next three or four years.

They will never sniff the playoffs again until they're sold and moved. It's dead.

You do whatever it takes to keep kemba. One of the best, if not the best player we have ever had. Trade everyone but him. I don’t care if his contract is up, I don’t care about any other player or their contracts...do what needs to be done. Fire Cho for giving out Batums and MKGs contracts. This team is a joke.

So instead of trading your best player ..Try something else.. Fire your GM and get another idea man to see what he can do with this roster..

Fire the coaching staff and get somebody else to use other game plans and other line ups..

Do something else other than trading your best commodity right now...

They haven't tried anything else but trade away the only thing actually working right on the team...

We have a superstar, franchise PG with a team-friendly contract.

We have several bloated, overpaid role players with TERRIBLE contracts.

It's a terrible situation.  We are about to trade away the one and only bright spot in the history of the re-booted Charlotte Hornets.

Instead of firing the coach and GM 1st..

Doing this and letting these 2 dumbasses run the process is the definition of stupidity.

I hate it but it is the right thing to do. Doesnt mean it will turn out better long term. We are going to have to rebuild. We are stuck in mediocrity. Will never be better than an 8th seed, not bad enough to be a top 3 bottom too.

Its time to clean house. Everyone. And Cho, Cliff and co better be gone after this season.

The right thing to do is get rid of the coach and GM 1st.. Get some other eyes and ideas on the situation.. And if the new ppl can't find a out then you look to trade Kemba.. But there is no way in Hell Cho and Clifford should be handling this situation.. Before Kemba goes they should go.

I understand and agree completely. But there’s no way we can get rid of these terrible contracts without giving up Kemba.

It’s just not worth it for Kemba to keep him around for 3-5 years in a rebuilding process. Give him a chance to win and be successful somewhere else.

I hated the Marv, Zeller and MKG extensions.

Again maybe if your coach would try different poo on the court ..You might see some different poo and a different outcome.. Your stuck with Nic bad contract okay.. Don't compound that by playing him 30 minutes a game.  Sit his 24 million dollar was on the bench .. Give Lamb a shot and Run Nic with the second team until he plays like you want him to do or he stays and makes the bench stronger.

That's just one example.

I'm not even a coach but I can see simple changes that would help the roster more than trading Kemba.

1. Nic to the bench Lamb getting starter minutes..

2. Marvin to the bench Frank plays more with MKG and Dwight to hide him on the defensive end.

3. Play Monk with Nic and MCW and Marvin and Obraynt .. that's 4 shooters on the field and 2 guys who can run the offense.  You can switch MCW out when he is fuging up with Graham and let Nic play point forward since he wants to pass all the time anyways.

Clifford is terrible. Cho is pig crap. And MJ better not replace Cliff with Silas!

Fire the whole coaching staff with Cho.. Get some other minds coaching the team .. Who won't feel like they have to give starter minutes to Nic and Marvin...

    • He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.
    • This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.
    • I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
