in that case it should be a seamless transition

anyway more to the point of this thread: #1 overall pick josh allen is such a browns move

If that was the case why did Cam stick up for him and why did JR let him be drafted?

If Cam continues to struggle under the Turner's you can expect the cries for a change to get louder. Everyone now blames Shula and Dorsey but if the problems don't improve under the new regime expect the blame to shift to Cam. With Cam's cap hit going to 21 million this year, 23 in 2019 and 21 million in 2020, it isn't guaranteed we keep him especially since his dead cap hit in 2018 will be 15 million but goes down to 8.2 million in 2019 and is only 2 million for 2020. With new ownership and a likely new GM coming in, it isn't beyond the pale for the Panthers to draft a quarterback in the first 3 rounds sometime over the next 2 drafts.

Continues to struggle?

He lead the team to 11 wins and a playoff berth with 2 RB's who could barely muster 3 yards a carry, and a human turnstile at left tackle.

This after spending the offseason and most of the season getting back up to speed from shoulder surgery.

Either you watched a different team in 2017 or you are shitposting.

See there you go again. You take everything so defensively no one can have a reasonable discussion without you jumping in making excuses. Let's be real here, it wasn't just this season, he has dropped off from his MVP form of 2015 last year and this. The general consensus is that there are multiple reasons for his decline with injury being a major one. Coaching and personnel are 2 more. But his mechanics are poor and he makes lots of mistakes reading coverages and fails to take what the defense is giving him. After 7 years there are still throws he can't make consistently. And those have little to do with injuries or our personnel or other common excuses. He struggled with consistency plain and simple and this is nothing new. And what separates Newton from elite quarterbacks is not his talent or ability but his ability to be consistent week in and week out. That is why mechanics are so important. You have to do the same thing every time until it becomes natural and you don't have to think about it.

We get it. You're pissed your uncle Mike got canned.

You'll live.

.

Like usual you don't get it. I supported Shula because he was our OC just like I will support Turner. I am a Panther fan and have been since 1995. I will be a fan long after Newton and Rivera are gone. Notice I have said nothing good or bad about Shula since he left since he is no longer a Panther coach so I don't care about him anymore. I hope Turner is fantastic and helps Cam turn it around. Anyone who is a Panther fan should feel the same way.

Josh Allen is Cam Newton if you think Cam Newton isn't a passer.

Otherwise, he's backup/project material with a lot of work ahead of him to fix some of his accuracy issues. He'd be better off going to a team willing to work out a plan to get him learning his first year or two and letting him loose when he's truly fixed up his passing game a bit.

lmfao. God people like you are insufferable when trying to construe a narrative that Cam Newton isn't a good passer or QB.

dear christ.

this is literally the dumbest thing i've ever read. this is why cam newton really needs to find a new team with a fanbase that accepts him and a coaching staff willing to actually let him shine.

can't wait for people like you to cry about not making the playoffs when cam moves on to a better team and when everyone realizes how poo cam's supporting cast has been all his career and how he's been taking a 1-15 caliber team to the playoffs year after year.

cam newton literally carried a one-armed funchess, a 6th rounder, and a whole host of UDFAs to the playoffs this year and almost won them a playoff game single-handedly. to simply try and put blame on arguably one of this generation's most talented QBs is laughable and shows your complete ignorance.
