TBH, Roquan Smith is a baller. I know everyone is clamoring for need, but I'd actually love to have him on our team.

Yeah, it'd be awesome to spend another 1st round pick just to watch him ride the pine behind better, more experienced players. I'm kind of over doing that.

Lol...or he could play himself into a starter...

LOL! Yep, a rookie is going to leapfrog TD and Shaq. With TD and Shaq in front of him, we'd be spending a 1st round pick on a guy who would be playing special teams and spot duty at best unless injuries opened the door for him. All the while we'd still have massive holes in the secondary, the geriatric crew at DE (assuming that Peppers even returns), and the law firm of Who Dafuq Are These Guys at WR. Making luxury picks in the 1st round is part of the reason why we have these massive holes on the roster.

I mean, if we took Rivera out of the situation, Smith would have a good chance of starting over Shaq/TD. I wasn't very impressed with Shaq last year, he missed a LOT of tackles.

    • I think in all honestly, the final 2 games are carrying most of the weight in a lot of Bryce talk IMO.    During the window where he "blew it out of the water" window......were a lot of games where he was not above average.  AZ is largely one of those stat sheet games.   Where the stat sheet reflects QB play that didn't exist in the game.  That game was all Chuba.  Meh vs Dallas.  Meh vs Philly.  Meh vs Giants.  Probably average vs Tampa, Den, Saints.  Bryce made HUGE strides vs what he was.  We should be happy.   But when you start comparing him to the rest of the league.....people I think are going too far.  His best aspect in reality.....is his scrambling.  And that's probably not a great thing give his size.
    • Mays and Zavala looked lost in the Reich offense.  Granted Zalava was probably playing too soon due to injuries but he looked terrible.  This new staff seems to be doing well with our OL.  I also wonder if having two vets in Hunt and Lewis just made life that much easier on whoever was/is playing center.
    • What the Panthers should target in order (via free agency or via trade): 1. Julian Blackmon  2. Mike Hilton 3. Jaire Alexander 4. Jalen Ramsey
