I liked it. I'd put top 5 in Marvel movies. However it did have kind of a James Bond feel to it for me. But I agree the actual motivations for a Marvel villain finally made sense. Also was kind of disappointed with the last after credit scene. So ummm Bucky is back? Yeah I know. I saw the trailer for Infinity War.

I thought the soul gem was in Adam Warlock (who I assume will appear in GotG 3 - the weird yellow people queen lady made him at the end of GotG 2).

Overhyped. No depth and felt like they tried to cram too much story into it. Michael B stole what little show there was to steal. Very disappointed.

I mean he never really went anywhere. He just went to Wakanda and then was frozen again until Wakanda Scientists could figure out how to undo the Hydra brainwashing. I'm assuming that the after credits scene is confirming that Shuri fixed Bucky. Speaking of that scene, did anyone else catch the White Wolf easter egg?  That would be a very interesting thing to happen.

The kids called him the White Wolf but I know the White Wolf as Elric of Melnibone so probably not related.

In the comics, White Wolf is a white dude that ends up being adopted and is T'Challa's half brother. He becomes the leader of the War Dogs. Will be interesting to see if they fill that role with Bucky after Infinity War (if he makes it).

Finally saw the movie today. Enjoyed the heck out of it, just a lot of fun. Amazing thing was that it has been out for like four weeks and they still sold out every seat in the theater on a Sunday afternoon.

I did not like this movie at all.  I kept thinking Lion King dunno why.  Boring movie.

Finally saw it with the wife. WAY overhyped. Lion King to death, man. It was entertaining, sure, but it was not amazing as so many people had told me. Shuri was the only bright spot for me.

I thought Killmonger was a great villain, but I agree, it was overhyped...still good though.

Got around to watching this the other day after watching Avengers before hand. Man I just could not make it through this snore fest made it about 40 minutes and just could not keep interested.

I saw Avengers before as well. We just had a baby so getting out watching movies has been really hard. I asked my friend before the Avengers start that should I have watched Black Panther beforehand and he said it didnt really matter. I snuck down to the theater myself while little man was at his grandma's one day and I enjoyed the poo out of it. and some stuff in Avengers made more sense to me.

I agree. It was overhyped, but it was still great movie. I'd watch it again.

I'm a little biased, as BP is prob my favorite Marvel character, but I loved it. I watched it again the other night and still enjoyed the hell out of it.
