Bucs signed DE Vinny Curry to a three-year, $27 million contract with $11 million guaranteed.

Need to get the defense back into the top 5, as that's what we had our Super Bowl years. We had a good shot at that with Breeland, but with him out it's looking more and more difficult with what is left. I reflect back at our top defenses, one in particular, we had Tillman when we was 32+ years old. Based on the Panthers' actions we only have 5-6million left to work with, I'll say 8 million by making some low roster cuts with little to no dead cap hit. Here's what I'd do as of 3/17, I'd go with one of the two scenarios:

1) Sign: Cromartie or Revis at 3.5 million, T. Boston (or similar for depth/competition) at 2 million, Ebron/Wilson/JThomas at 2.5. Draft for S in first two rounds.

2) Sign: Bethel/Smith/Scandrick (or similar CB for depth/competition) for 2 million, Parker/Reid/Vaccaro at safety 3.5 million, Enron/Wilson/JThomas at 2.5 million. Draft for a CB in the first two rounds.

The other depth and replacement holes can be filled with the other draft picks. This is shaping up to be a draft by need instead of TBA.
