Joseph Tsai entering the mix is a game changer. He has that Alibaba money. Tsai and Rubin together could outbid even Tepper. And, guys, seriously, f Peter Navarro. If you think the word of the wealthiest debt collector in the world means a damn thing, you don't understand that world.

Navarro's first name isn't Peter, it's Ben.

His decision does have to be approved by at least 24 other owners though.

It's his decision first, of course.

your right but I just don't see how Narvarro would be an issue at all. He fits the mold of the billionaire boys club.

How he made his money (debt collection) might make some people uncomfortable.

That said, one of the current owners is an oil tycoon, so...

Tepper seems like a yutz and a P Diddy/E-sports merch guy bid sounds like a one way ticket to LaughingStock City and/or playing alongside the the raiders in their big fancy new Vegas stadium.

Give me the local guy.

You can bet Rubin will be looking to move the Panthers for sure. Places like Portland and Oakland have much more money than Charlotte.

Well yes but even at a 3b asking price someone would have to overpay massively to make their money matter. Tepper or t/r could stroke a check for 3b so that’s a wash imo.

My question would be what the ownership would would look like with T/R. Both can’t be owners. What would they have to divest (nba/nhl) to buy us?  Why if so rich do they want the de celebrities on board?

I also wonder if being a merchandise partner wouldn’t be a conflict of interest in owning a team. No idea but it seems murky.

One thing that plays into the NFL's preference and final decision is that, apparently, they have a "waiting list".

The emergence of hedge fund manager/Steelers minority owner David Tepper as a candidate to buy the Panthers once again shows the folly in this day and age in assuming buyers have to have roots in a team’s home city. The NFL, for awhile now, has had a queue of guys who want in—and guys like Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and Jags owner Shad Khan came off it recently to get clubs that they had no natural tie to. It’s necessary now, too, given that the price point of these teams have severely limited the number of tycoons capable of writing the checks necessary.

Fits in with things we've heard before.

What makes you believe so?

Non football guys who pooled money at the last minute. They are also huge businesses men. I mean if you look at it from a non football point of view you could move to a more revenue selling city and make a killing. I mean it's not like the NFL is filling all there seats as well. Business minded individuals might see San Antonio or Portland as huge revenue ventures. It's just like Sabates, he said I can't make a feeling buy. We need a owner who is a football fan. Or has been in the NFL and wants to be a owner like ziggy wilf.

It makes sense. It's so the vultures don't swoop in and cause chaos. I mean could you imagine guys like Donald Trump and Steve Wynn running NFL teams. Hell no.

Lol....if it ain't Fox it ain't right...amiright or amiright

I trust no news media but especially not ones run by the DNC. Politico was actually caught sending every Hillary Clinton article to the DNC for review so she could beat Bernie.
