I think y’all are reading waaaay too much into this press conference. These guys aren’t gonna show their hands a few days out from the draft. I don’t know how any one takes away anything from this honestly. I swear some of y’all love to complain just to complain....I can’t wait for the draft to see who the next great Panther will be personally!

You're obviously new here, welcome to the huddle!

Someone asked Marty if he feels confident he can get a day 1 contributor with the 24th pick and he meekly says "hope so". All anyone needs to know about his confidence right now.

How about, "Hell yeah, there are about 24 or 25 guys that are absolute studs". Glad we are picking where we are, any of you chumps want to trade up you'd better be toting gifts.

I  get that you do not show your hand, but you don't have to look like a bluffing buffoon either.

What did we do on offense to improve from a lackluster year in 2017?

  • Added 2 WRs and about as much production as we lost in KB--if you combine them.
  • Added nothing to replace your all-pro LG
  • Added nothing to replace your starting RB
  • Added nothing to replace your backup TE
  • Added nothing to replace your C who played 14 games in 2 seasons.

Rest of NFL: "Wow Rivera.  That must be a strong hand you are holding. We fold."

People saying Hurney will botch the first pick are noobs x10

he always slam dunks his first pick, then fumbles the rest

im confident whoever we get in round 1 will be a long term focal piece, those taken after that I'm hopeful but realize to take them with a grain of salt.

come on noobs don't be so blatantly obvious you are relatively new to the panthers. I now know who doesn't know sshit and ill take your opinion of things with even more grains of salt than Hurneys post 1st round selections!

I don't expect you to refer back to it if you are wrong. CMC between the tackles is not a good idea.  AND when you use him that way, he becomes less effective as a pass receiver, where he made the most damage.  He will get his carries-but we need more.

For those of you who are saying, "The rush was fine last year--the DBs sucked."

NEWSFLASH:  We blitzed more than any other team in the league except Cleveland, who had nothing to lose.  If you blitz and do not get there, who do you think pays for it?

A: DBs

If he does, he will knock a year or two off his career.  I think he is good enough--no doubt.  But does he have the frame?  I think we need someone to split carries--look what it did for Stewart and Williams' careers/

i dont care about that honestly. id rather have gamebreaker ability and production for five years than half ass holding back for 7.

if this franchise drafts a RB #8 and doesn't give that player the full opportunity to at least see what he can do with that kind of workload we are just fugtards. plain and simple. wouldn't surprise me

give the guy the rock as much as he can handle it. draft a decent backup if he goes down..  otherwise, let it rip!!

He will definitely split carries. Cmac is too valuable, spread over the field. You can't take that part of his game away. I can see him getting the bulk of carries, but he's not pounding it 20+ carries a game.

I can't believe how many people take what he said at face value.  I've been on the Huddle long enough to know better, but it sometimes still surprises me how many people only listen and match what is said to their own personal narrative.

There was really only one piece of information to take from this press conference, and that's the fact we won't trade next year's #1.  And we can only take that as fact because it's the only thing he really said.  Everything else was misinformation, misdirection, and zero actual evaluation of the team, team needs, and what directions we may go.  If you listen closely, he's actually saying we don't need anything, we need everything, we could pick anyone at any time, we don't need to pick anyone or any position...basically, he didn't give any real clue about what they are thinking.

some of you would have the most rare and coveted jewel but you would discard it and never take it to a jewler or pawn shop or whatever because it wasnt shinny enough and the vague online description of it with spotty information told you it wasn't much and maybe you misdiagnosed it completly..

sell it for what you think its worth to your friend, before you gave it an honest and fair look...he takes it to the appropriate place to see its worth and to give it the appropriate attention, sells it for riches... and youre a sucker

and if you have that jewel... dont put it on some dumbass piece of metal that looks like sshit. dont misuse it. put it and utilize it in fabulous fashion. dont hide it show that sshit off. make it a focal point of your attire.
