Don't worry though, the panthers did make an appearance in a later segment, when they were the only team in the NFC from last year's playoffs who wouldn't return, being instead replaced by the cowboys (lol) 

this segment was spearheaded by Michael Irvin who said the panthers wouldn't return because "they've got a lot of injuries on the offensive and defensive line" (lol what) and that the cowboys would get in because they're loaded with defensive all-stars like Byron Jones (lol)

 

I don't know about you but the NFL season snuck up on me this year. Now Sunday can't come soon enough.

Michael Irvin is suffering from permanent brain damage brought on by the excessive amount of cocaine and other drugs that POS (along with other Cowboys) were doing in the 90's.

pretty easy call if you know we never have back to back winning seasons...hope that changes under new ownership. no intellect at all ...just playing the odds...

Cowboys are historically a 8-8 team. With only small changes in variance either high or low.

Panthers have been over looked this season.

 

I honestly think they will do great this year.

 

I think our offense can look similar to the 2015 15-1 Cam MVP season.

 

when Cam doesn’t have a true #1 WR to lock on too he passes the ball around a lot more efficiently.

for once there are a lot of fast WR on the team. I think Samuel could be a solid #2 WR and really make some noise if he can stay healthy and unfortunately he hasn’t been able to stay healthy to show what he can do. We also have Byrd who can make big plays. If Samuel can’t stay healthy I believe Byrd will take his spot.  Torrey Smith can make big plays although he can also make some big drops. Jarius Wright is a solid WR who is very underrated. I honestly think he will be the #3 WR and will be very important especially on third downs. Then there is the #1 pick in the draft DJ Moore who I believe will have some flashes of greatness but will overall have a Funchess like rookie year. Funchess is the #1 WR who should put up close to 1000 yards if healthy.  Add the fact we have a good # 2 TE,  added a 1000 yard RB and for once may have an above average LT I see no reason why the panthers offense won’t surprise everyone.

 

we changed from big WR to WR who are fast and can produce YAC.

 

this is what will make the Panthers offense so great. Every player can get yards after the catch. We have CMC who should have a break out year as Cams safety valve. Hopefully having CMC and other WR who Cam can throw short passes and yet gain big yards will finally improve his completion percentage to around 65%.

Most of the people making predictions just don't have faith in us.  It's not that they don't think we're capable.  I've read/watched enough of them to know that most look at us as a major wildcard and possible sleeper. 

It's easy to understand that lack of faith.  After all, as an organization, we have been pretty bipolar.  Up and down, up and down, up and down, and so on.  Also, almost every one of them doesn't know what to expect from the Norv-Cam connection.  Most say if it works, we could be a force and a legitimate SB contender, but they just aren't sure if it will. 

And we have had three potential starters on the OL go down with pretty significant injuries.  They just don't realize that Kalil to Moton could easily be an upgrade or that Silatolu was likely not going to be a starter regardless...or that Williams will be ready earlier than originally thought.  

Generally, they expect CMC to have a big year and no longer see our receiving corps as a negative.  But the biggest questions seem to be the OL and the extent to which Cam fits in Norv's system.  We are poised to be a classic bandwagon team.  If we start out fast, and Cam is playing at a high level, you'll start to see the national pundits start jumping on our bandwagon...especially if we beat Atlanta in their place.

Let 'em sleep on us, they always do. I will say though, as much as I hate to say it the Falcons are stacked. I do think the Saints will take a step back. I doubt their running game can repeat what they did last year, and Brees' arm is getting weaker (he'll probably still torch us). All that being said, we're winning the division, Atlanta's finishing 2nd, and 'Aints 3rd.

Still amazes me that any of you are surprised by this.  For 20+ years this team has been up and down with no real winning consistency.  Why would anyone except homers believe this team would do anything other than have a down year ? I certainly hope for 11-5 or better, but realistically I think we have a 9-7 season.  Our o-line is like Swiss cheese and our secondary is an unknown.

FWIW, Kay had us in a WC spot, and Schrags had us winning the division. I wouldn't have made it through this offseason without GMFB and the Breakfast Table. :P

 

I don't feel comfortable unless the majority of the talking heads pick against us. lol

Yep! When we are the consensus favorites to win, we have failed. When looked down upon and overlooked, we always seem to "surprise" everyone outside of Carolina (and sometimes including most in Carolina).

Not mad at all. We've always earned respect, and that's not a bad thing. Perhaps the Tepper and Turner era will bring us to elite status like the Pats and Steelers, where every year we're expected to be at the top. That wouldn't be bad either.
