week 2 injuries

For this game specifically, i'll take our injuries over Atlantas. Our defense is WAY better than Atlanta's defense. Our injuries are on the offensive of side of the ball, and ATL losing two top talents offsets this. In my opinion. That said, our defense is healthy against their offense that looked flat (on the road) in week one.

not buying that our D is better than theirs, with the exception we have Poe which kinda evens them out a little.

more importantly, it's the matchups our D vs their O, and vice versa. We should be able to run on them and they will probably have success throwing, even with the lame duck arm Meg Ryan has.

First of all, the only real threat is from the 12-14 age group.  Second, we just need Armah to stay home and chip the kid that blows past Amini.

It was debatable whether their D or ours was better when they were fully healthy (they have a much better secondary, we have a much better LB corp, and dlines are probably a wash). Without Jones and Neal (2 of their top 3 defenders along with Trufant), our defense is better.

Agree we should be able to run on them. They are undersized for the most part in the front 7, and the left half of our oline has looked strong run blocking during the preseason and week 1.

Passing will come down to the strategy we have against Julio. We cannot let him get 1 on 1 matchups and we cannot get caught with a busted zone coverage.

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
