Let's see... notwithstanding Gettleman's smooth moves, we took a great secondary coach away from our secondary. No more miracles being worked, it affected us. Now we take a very good DL coach away from the DL, same thing is probably happening.

In fairness, the only one of consequence let go was Norman.  Peanut was done, and Coleman/Harper would be gone regardless.  Replacing them has proven to be a problem.  Bradberry is decent to good, and Jackson might eventually be good, but safety has been a problem since the 2016 season.

It's not surprising to me his coaching tree is dogshit. He isn't a good headcoach. He constantly gets in his own way with his stubborness to play veterans over younger, more talented players. He has completely abandoned his riverboat moniker now that he has job security. Finally, he just seems out of touch with players. The whole benching Cam thing in Seattle is still weird to me.

McDermott isn't going anywhere and is well liked in Buffalo.  Bills know this is a rebuilding year and they have a ton of draft picks next year and are just trying to get through the year and be as competitive as possible.  What shocks me is the Bills were high on Nathan Peterman and Peterman apparently is a different player during games versus practice.

I should have elaborated a bit, because I do agree with you about the safety situation. They had been handing Wilkes crap and expecting him to make good with it and he was doing pretty well. Exceptionally well. When you take a guy that good away from that job, you are not likely to get the same results from the next man.  Other dominoes falling, catches up at some point. These new guys being hired and promoted have a learning curve too.
