Anakin Skywalker, greatest tragedy ever told.

How is Anakin Skywalker a tragedy? Because the dialogue told us that he's supposed to be one? Well he's not. I never got the feeling that he was a good heroic person like how he was supposed to be. He was always arrogant, whiny, aggressive, and brooding. It may have been the acting though because the script seems to think he's a great tragedy, when as the viewer all we ever see is him being a selfsh brooding jerk. He never even showed any remorse for his actions, he just killed the poo out of people with no fugs given.

Ben Solo is actually a much more tragic character. He doesn't want to be evil, he was just failed by everyone who was supposed to be good. You see him show remorse and be hesitant when he's doing bad things. He's pretty much what they wanted Vader to be but failed at executing it.

Was a torn person.  Tried to do right, bad poo happens....tries to shrug it off...more bad poo happens...he was not always a jerk,  his moms deal pushed him....threat of padme dying sent him over the edge....those circumstances would make any young boy a bit of a dick...especially one that gifted.

His downfall was definitely his arrogance.  Seemed like a tragic character with a dose of anger he could not always control that eventually consumed him. I'm a huge Vader fan boy so my views will be different.

Also I do like what they are doing with kylo.  He is not as fearsome as Vader, maul or anyone like that but he is what's keeping this trilogy afloat right now.

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
