Interesting Stat/Factoid: Game 4 the worst for the Panthers since 2011

These were all 8n poo seasons and 2013 before we caught on fire. Interesting but I dont read much in to it.

Yes. In 2013 we also had a week 4 bye. But yeah all the other games were week 4 not week 5.

Kudos for your hard work and diligent stat keeping. 

I struggle to keep up with my league's fantasy site every week, but the stats and trends are really worth it.

Also of note is the Panthers under Ron Rivera have always been a team that started slow and got better as the season progressed so if they can end the 1st quarter of the season 3-1 that bolds well for the potential of the rest of the season. 

And that 2014 loss was the Steve Smith blood and guts revenge game, we walked in to that one ready to take the L.

This is like odd years we are good, even years we are not.     I have a theory about odd-even years besides it being coincidence and that is strength of schedule, obviously after a winning season the schedule next season should be harder and vice versa.

Back to the topic though, we start slow normally and November/December is when the team learns and improves.

History be damned. We will beat the Giants on Sunday. We got a good deal on division play this year. So far, the NFC East teams are performing poorly on offense. In pts/gm (entire league) they're ranked 23rd, 26th, 29th, and 30th.

Agree. I was not trying to suggest history would affect the game. It was just purely a stat I found odd / interesting, wondering why one game per season would stand out as being consistently bad.

Yeah I see it like a coin toss given the opponent and circumstances are different every season.  It's time for the other side of the coin.
