We had the slowest paced offense in 2017, currently tied for 4th slowest this season

Then find a better stat. I know there are advanced stats from somewhere showing the hurry up. Until then this is the best stat there is and beats your no stats to say he is better. And again that whole issue isn't germaine to the discussion.

Nor is the Rivera quote germaine to my point. You seem to be arguing a point no one else is debating and totally.missing the point of my original post. No one  is arguing that Rivera doesn't  uses ball control and likes to run to extend time of possession. That is not in debate. And no one says Cam dictates the pace of the game from play to play. But his clock management from end of one play until he snaps the ball is slow and deliberate. But even when Cam uses the hurry up he trots along and takes his time. Look when he called the pass play instead of spiking  the ball after the big pass reception at the end. He took almost 5 seconds to snap.the ball once folks were set. It is his pace and style, he does things slowly. Within the 40 seconds Cam takes his time and uses it all which ultimately impacts the play of the game and pace. Not a criticism simply an observation. So unless you have facts to back up your opinions stop wasting everyone's time with your conjectire and red herring issues.

My stat, the entire second half of the Falcons game, which you seem to avoid again.

Again your lying, after the big pass play Cam got to the line and snapped the ball in 10 seconds with over 25 remaining on the play clock. It’s funny how you say the “you see” Cam going slow as a legit point to your argument, but when I see Cam actually play better in a fast pace your whole arguement is “hurr show me the stats”.

At this point your just arguing to save face with Rivera.

If I recall correctly, early in Cam's career there was some chatter about his huddle actions [quick in & out or slow in & out] being a "Tell" about play calls. Afterword his actions seemed to be more deliberate [maybe just my eyes only]. Maybe Cam has gotten a bit too deliberate?

IIRC, Cam did not start out kneeling in the Huddle. But as the game wore on, and he started getting tired. That is when he would start to kneel. He didn't think anything about it. Then someone told him (I think it was at the Pro Bowl, after his rookie year.) that Defenses had figured it out. So Cam, in order to nullify that tell, he just started kneeling full time.

That could be what happened. Or it very well could be just another one of those "Cam myths". But I kinda remember reading it in the Charlotte Observer. Hope that answers your question.

Oh, and welcome to teh Huddlez.

And this is why Ron should be questioned on his coaching.

It's like he is living in 2015.

We don't have a good defense this year. You can't play to protect leads this year. See what happens when a team gets a headstart. We are dead because our offense is not used to playing at a fast pace.

    • Personally I think he's a nightmare to cover I think linebackers generally aren't fast enough to keep up with him in coverage and cornerbacks don't have the strength to tackle him one-on-one in physically bring them down which would normally lead to a broken tackle or a nasty stiff arm or just bully ball play sure you could find a receiver with comparable speed like Cooper but he's faster than Cooper sure you can find a wide receiver that is the same size but he's probably More powerful than them and a better blocker.  The size speed athleticism package that he is in is completely unique it's easier to say I'd rather have just a big blocker because we've never seen this type of profile before I'm a risk taker I think you would be God blessed if this was there at 19 I think if you can get a guy that's a tight end who immediately becomes the fastest guy on your offense and at the same time that third wide receiver that can stretch and burn defenses over the top that's the perfect what the Panthers need type weapon.
    • I think you're under selling Sadiq. They are two different players in terms of how they win. Loveland is 2 inches taller maybe 5-6 pounds heavier. Comparing his speed to sadiq.. well your comparing a 4.7 guy to a 4.3 guy I'm seeing a guy that can take a bubble screen from the tight end position and turn it into a house call. I'm not saying the guy is a certified home run pick but I don't think there's really a president's for a comparison for this kind of athlete. It's easy to say this doesn't look like Warren or Loveland because we haven't seen guys that fit this profile The closest you might be able to get is Vernon Davis.  He's not as sure far as those guys were but at 19 I think almost everybody is going to have some warts and he's a lottery ticket of could be top 10 in the draft player or could fail I am more of a risk taker I think he fits the athletic profile that could be a homerun, like I said he's almost 40 lb bigger than Cooper and like 4-5 in taller than Cooper so and he's faster. So whatever you think Cooper gives you I think he does that and more. If you want to go with one of the office alignment I can understand that as well but for value as a receiving threat I don't think there's a bigger value at number 19.
    • I’ve haven’t seen anything that says we have interest in Njoku?
