Thought we were getting a LT today?

You should talk to your therapist. There's clearly mental issues with you bud. If you don't like what I post or agree. that's totally cool. There is no need to belittle or even offend people. Saca knows I appreciate the work he does andy comment wasn't even directed at you but yet you took it hard. Like a prom queen in prom  night. Just move on?  Maybe that will help your life a little more?

I'm not even going to get into the Matt Kalil thing. As it stands,  hes regressed and I don't see a point with him being on the team.  People can change stances. Apparently you're too perfect to understand that. lol

I wasn’t the only one who took it that way. I just explained my issue. And instead of just saying... yep, I was wrong.....you blame me for noticing your blatant hypocrisy.

If you posted nothing but that last paragraph, I would have been first to say, cool. I’ve ate crow many times. But you go full hypocrite, and blame “mental issues” of mine for noticing it. That’s adorable. Did you not get hugged enough as a child? Should I call you a hypocrite in a softer tone? Don’t blame me because you can’t keep your BS theories straight and forget people have memories.

I predict Matt comes back and performs so well huddlers say, wow he really improved.  Norv has schemed around weakness at LT.  All he has to do is leave that scheme in place.

Norv tried to scheme around Matt for two+ years. With poor results at best.

If he was coming back we would have already gotten the “Matt’s finally healthy” article version 8.0.

I don't know what happened in MN, but Cam is stepping up consistently into the pocket now, making it  way easier for the tackles.  He did not do this last year.  Matt should perform better in this offense.  With an easier load, I would expect fewer mental mistakes.   Matt will play as good or better than Clark.

First, what indication do you have that he's even coming back? He could have been practicing for weeks. 9 weeks for “Knee Soreness?” When your team is desperate at OT and Williams is getting injured while playing hurt. I truly believe no one wants him back. And why risk 7M for similar play?

And Cam avoided just as many sacks from Kalil as Clark. If not more. There’s no offensesive scheme that prevents those Cam Jordan shots. He couldn’t step up so he spun out.

We're out the money this year whether he plays or not.

I believe he'll be coming back, at least into some rotation, because he's a better athlete and has a higher ceiling than Clark.  Now next year is another discussion, it would be a bunch of dead money, but it may be worth it to let him go.

For years Cam's go to move was to spin out.  Now he's stepping up.

I'm not going to waste a bunch of posts on Matt Kalil, I think he took advantage of us and should renegotiate a more favorable contract because his play SUCKED.  That said, he's better than Clark in the same scheme.

What does being a better athlete or having more “upside” matter when discussing Kalil.and Clark. They are what they are. Are you hoping to magically unlock that upside that no one has in seven years? In the last few weeks?

He’s not coming back(barring injury). He’s gone the minute the season is over at 14.7M. We can’t renegotiate because he has all the money already. And if he plays and gets injured, we owe him 7M guaranteed for next year. How does that figure into your plans?

Matt Kalil played in this scheme for 2 years and never at the level Clark has. Which isn’t much, but much better than anything Kalil has put on film. Because you said so isn’t a credible answer

I didn't know he wasn't coming back barring injury.  I missed that announcement.

I do see him gone at the end of the season because he's not worth the price.

I don't think he has the 3rd and 4th year money yet.

I did not know that Kalil gets 7 Mil if he is injured.  I was under the impression we weren't on the hook for 2019 money until 2019 season.

And he will never get his 3rd or 4th year money. He has the 25M guaranteed that we have already given him. We just have to account for 14.7M over next two years.

And if he gets hurt, we owe him more. So where is any logical reason to put him back on the field?

This is on page one. She doesn’t think he’s coming back either. He’s not even trying to practice.

All I could find was comment by Jourdan Roudrique when asked a couple days ago.

“I think the question then isn’t whether we’ll see Kalil back on the field this year (which I doubt, aside from an emergency), but whether he will be a part of the Panthers’ big picture plans after the season”

    • We’re in a pickle. My best hope is we protect him and can run the ball vs most Ds and the WRs are healthy so he has every chance to not look like what he looked like in too many games last year.
    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
