Wild Card

Well, we just lost the head-to-head tiebreaker with a team that will probably be fighting us for a wild card spot.  This was an important game.  Winning gives us a 2 game lead and the tie-breaker but now they have a 1 game lead.

Everyone's saying it, but let me just add...we need a change in those calling the shots.  We looked flat on defense most of the game and were ill-prepared and out of position all game.  Sad to see such a great start wasted.

We have some major holes on defense. People can blame Washington all they want. At the end of the day we have had no pass rush all season and our secondary outside of Jackson has been getting torched all year.

It's going to be a defensive draft for sure next year. Wouldn't be surprised if we doubled up on pass rushers in the 1st and 2nd round. The Dline needs some young legs moving forward.

We CAN beat Tampa and Cleveland if we snap out of this lull. The rest of the season’s results show that. Otherwise we MAY beat ATL given their seasonal form.

Three other teams on 6-5, one of those will get a divisional berth. Eagles 5-6. Would say, 2 more wins be enough realistically? Being realistic please, rather than “we can’t beat anyone lols”.

We don’t have a chance in hell of beating New Orleans or LA in the playoffs, anyway. Making it to the playoffs would be a participation trophy for this team, and the last thing we need is fewer reasons to fire Rivera. Playoffs are meaningless.

Hell, we're not even gonna beat the Browns lol

This lays completely at Rivera’s feet, and EXACTLY what mediocre coaches do. While the offense picks it up it is HIS job to ensure that HIS defense stays elite. Bottom line. And his decision to just promote the next guy was putrid. You simply can’t let it happen, and we’ve become a team that can only be good at one side of the ball at a time, and that’s nothing but coaching. He waited too long to get rid of Shula and now allowed the defense to become middle of the pack at best. He’s not gonna lead us anywhere in this landscape, though I have no idea who we replace him with.
