If we get swept by the Saints or Falcons, shouldn't that be the nail in the coffin?

Ron would have to pull a rabbit out of his ass and beat the Saints at least once (don’t see that) and get us in the playoffs and then win a game for him to be safe.

At least we have somewhat of an excuse. 2 starting guards, a pro bowl RB, a pro bowl SS, a starting FS, and our version of Keuchley is all out for the season. Factor in Bustley, and I might could start for our defense.

Every team has a game or two that is a surprise loss. The issue for the Panthers is, they are losing the tight games that they usually win (Redskins, Lions, Seahawks). That's coaching. The Panthers have typically overcome losses like this by beating teams they were not expected to beat. That's not happening this year (the Eagles are just not that good this year).

It's reasonable to believe we are going to lose to the Saints twice and, perhaps, the Falcons. IF the Panthers lose one of the games against either Cleveland or Tampa Bay - that will be the final nail in the coffin for Rivera.

As it stands, I'd expect Rivera is on the hot seat and will be evaluated after the season. How the team performs in the last five games will determine how hot that seat is going to be.

Absofuginglutely they will destroy the Panthers just to watch them burn to the ground. The Panthers did it to the Falcons in 2014 with a playoff spot on the line.

I said at that very beginning of the season, if we get our asses kicked by the saints and Falcons again that should be the nail in the coffin.

Getting beat by the saints 3 times in one season was unacceptable.
