If the Panthers can't finish against the Lions, do we really expect them to do so against the New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Rams or Chicago Bears in the postseason?

If the Panthers can't finish against the Lions, do we really expect them to do so against the New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Rams or Chicago Bears in the postseason? We do not.

My reaction to this is, horse crap.  I assume then that GB and NE have no play off hopes either.    I think we all feel that we are not playing to the level of talent that we have...like we're still shaking off the steelers game stench.  The odds of reaching the playoffs now are like 2-1 against.

Nothing like a second bucs game to get us firing on all cylinders again.  That was the last game that it looked like we had all the pieces for a playoff run.  Hopefully Jackson will play, the DC will call a variety of blitzes, the DL will get angry, gano will lose his yips and Norv will come up with a more reliable solution to our goal-line/red zone woes.

I don't want easy decisions for Tepper, which losing-out will do.  Tepper is where he is because he is willing and quite capable of making good hard decisions.  Lets just win.  Let Tepper then do what is necessary in the offseason.

I don’t think the rest of the league and the pessimistic side of this fan base realize that we’re not that bad. We lost 4 games off of stupid mistakes

The talent is there. Ima get poo’d to oblivion for saying this but we can hang with anybody. Gano lost us three games this year. If Gano wasn’t so shitty we would be sitting 9-2 and circle jerking each other for the first back to back winning seasons

Why are we still talking about the playoffs? This team may/may not be able to beat the Bucs and Browns much less do anything in the playoffs if we’re lucky enough to back in.

As for Tepper, I believe if the team finishes at .500 or better Ron stays for at least another year. If they finish below .500 then it’s a 50/50 chance Ron is fired. Remember Dave comes from Pittsburgh where they’ve had 3 coaches in their entire existence

Well it’s happened before to the Giants, Steelers, Green Bay even that they barely squeaked in after dismal seasons, fans wrote them off— Fire the coach, they suck all the same stuff,..

but they went on to win Superbowls,..

Phily was written off completely last year going into the playoffs—hell everyone here was hoping we lost or won one more game so we were paired with them instead of the Saints.

its up to the team— 5-6 plays every game have been the difference—so it’s up to the team to take back those 5-6 plays while they still can get to the playoffs or just fall. Apart the rest of the way,

its like the bottom of the 9th rally,.. rally,.. rally hats,.. all that.

heroes or sheep— decide Panthers

I agree with everything except the circle  jerk part.

we either winning out or losing out. Most likely the latter. This team is starting to lose trust in each other and i guarantee almost half of that locker room has been lost by Ron. Torrey Smith somehow played last game with again no stats. Just space eating. I don't think Cam likes him.

Why are people making posts as though we even have a legit shot at the playoffs? Let’s see, we no longer control our own destiny, we would need Seattle and the Vikes to drop some games in ADDITION to us practically winning out.

Oh and we still have the Saints twice. Guess who Seattle has? Vikings, Cardinals, 49ers and 49ers and some other crap team I can’t think of right off the bat

Kansas City?

    • I'd rather not have Burns and draft good edge rushers. He wasn't worth the contract he got for a dude that could only rush the passer and frankly did a terrible job of it for us because whenever he did beat his blocker, he would whiff on the QB. Congrats to him for actually being able to wrap up the QB this year - it's the first time he has consistently been able to do it. The amount of teams that ran right at him while he was with us shows that teams realized he was an undersized edge and could get pushed backwards several yards on run plays. Having Dexter Lawrence next to you helps mask that problem
    • I mean, some of y'all keep on saying that, but the fact is is that he is the only Giant feasting. Burns is just better than many of us thought, myself included. Sometimes it just takes guys time to get to the top of their game, that's why I'm going to give our rookies a lot of grace. It might be a couple of years before they hit their stride (though it didn't take Burns that long). But I have been disappointed. Moreover, I suspect that they all might benefit by migrating to  a 4-3 base.  But Burns is what he is. It was ultimately bad timing IMO. After Scott Fitterer failed to take the two firsts, things were destined to go downhill. I think we should've kept Clowney for another year or so more than Burns, but it's all been fûcked up anyway, so nobody was probably going to make that much of a difference.
