Underwhelming FA class this coming year.

I guess Landon Collins, Clowney, and Bell will be the jewels this off season.

Some interesting names in the Tackle group with Henderson, J. James, and Darryl Williams of course.

Frank Clark, Cameron Wake, and Brandon Graham are names that pop out for 4-3 ends.

Bradley Roby and Jason Verrett for Corner.

I really like the idea of adding Adam Humphries just so he can stop killing us when we play against him...

give me Jason Verrett if he can be had for cheap. He would shore up our NB position.

Brandon Graham is an interesting name again if he's in our price range.

Collins is a SS and we have a decent one that will be cheaper in Reid.

Those de's actually make me so excited I realized we've really not developed our own talent the last few years. We've drafted players to convert a little to much but any one of those de's would be the best de on our team immediately that says a lot about our pass rushers. Adding that piece with Addy and two young hungry DE's (Cox/Obada) who should push Addy for time might be disruptive.

A real safety still young enough to pass for under thirty is all I need to know sign me up lol naw it's been old and untalented o the back end for about the last six years.

Breeshad Breeland might be an excellent addition especially a year later saw him last week treating Matty ice like he is a subpar qb.

Edit::From post above me about Frank Brandon & Cameron as our next de

I think we need to redistribute money to youth along the Dline so considering trading vets like Poe and maybe Short or Addison would help free some cap for the free agent and draft investments.  Clowney and Trey Flowers I like but they'll get paid so if that's too rich I'm looking at Za'Darius Smith and Preston Smith as the 2 worth taking a chance on after that initial wave at the DE position.

I also think investments need to be made away from LB and toward the secondary badly (which has been against the defense's philosophy the past almost decade).  There are some strong slot corners in Varrett and Callahan but they have big time injury concerns so safety might be the wise investment in free agency because there is a lot of talent there (Reid, Mathieu, Joyner, Clinton-Dix, Collins, maybe Amos).

EDIT: Below is a breakdown of the free agent pass rushers and a list of potential cap casualties to think about as well:

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
