One thing that hits me pretty hard as a fan

Tell me about it. I spent 10,000 dollars to take me and my family to Superbowl 50 and endured 10s of thousand of Denver fans while there. At my age there is a decent chance we won't win a Super Bowl before I go. My advice to you is to go if we get back there no matter the cost. It was worth it even though we lost.

Same poo happened to me man

I'm older than most here. I watched my son grow up in BoA. I like most piss and moan when we have seasons like this. But I'm still there, rearranging my work schedule, looking for tickets, wearing my gear, cussing the TV.

One thing I truly hope and pray, is if we get back to the SB someday before I die is that we win the damed thing

Sorry for the threads but this I had to get off my mind !

No apology necessary, I really feel this reflects the feelings of a lot of fans on this board.  As you grow as a fan and see core players come and go you tend to have favorites and really start to appreciate the human side of these athletes.

I still remember TD back when his number was 47 or whatever and he only played special teams as a rookie.  He would jump and try to get the fans hyped for kickoffs. It's crazy going into 2008 the local media was starting to whisper "bust", man what a career he's had since then.

For the last 5 years or so, our core has been Newton, Kuechly, Olsen, Kalil, Davis, Short +- some others.  To see so many of those plus Pep go out like this is heartbreaking.

With the way this organization is run, I will not see a Superbowl win in my lifetime. My kids are going to have to go to my gravesite and play the game (right before they win) like that son did for his dad when  (forgot baseball team name) won the World Series.

    • Not many people talking about DT, but we have a need.  (DE)  Now this guy is a NT like Brown III
    • But is it about letting Bryce develop or about winning games? Bryce has not been good enough to be an uncontested starter. He just hasn't. How many times has last drive Bryce shown up for 4 entire quarters? Once in 3 seasons? You aren't going to win 9 or 10 one score games every season year in and year out. You may want Bryce in the last 2 minutes. I want that Bryce the full 60.  No one is saying you have to give up on him, but bringing in another QB that can do anything is not hindering Bryce. It helps the team and that's where the focus needs to be. If drafting Sadiq to plague the middle of the field would help out offense, but Bryce struggles to get pass into the middle of the field, is Sadiq a bad pick? Or could he be a good pick with a better option at QB? We can't be afraid to improve. QB, TE, OL, LB, DL, CB, S. It doesn't matter. The goal is SBs, not 5 to 8 years seeing waiting to see if Bryce can develop while the rest of the league keeps passing us by.  Sadiq is a nice option, but I think we have to address tackle if one we like is there because we are painfully thin after this year, a LB to general the field, and a true ball hawking safety that can set the tone in the secondary. Those 3 positions are bigger game changers than a TE that will likely struggle to make a round 1 impact in this offense.
    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
