Except Funchess and McCaffery and our starting quarterback and our Pro Bowl guard...

McCaffrey played the first drive.

Turner is injured. He wasn't a choice.

Funchess was the only healthy scratch of the three, and he's in the coach's doghouse.

Uhhh... yeah he did, he started and they rotated him in and out until half time. It was mentioned multiple times on the broadcast that it was surprising that they kept bringing him back in.

Also Michael Thomas played into the 4th qrt as well as their starting secondary and Lb corp..

For some reason ppl are posting with no facts today..

Really strange??

If this game meant anything at all Sean Payton would have coached circles around Ron, doesn't matter if we were as healthy as we were on opening day.

Are we talking about the same Sean Payton who had three straight 7-9 seasons with an MVP (this year), Super Bowl Winning, and Hall of Fame QB? Payton has always been overrated and without Brees he’s just another coach.

Payton has wasted Brees’ talent just as much as Rivera has wasted Cam’s and McCarthy wasted Rodgers’.

Thomas played until he broke Horns record....Ingram played to beat Deuce's record, but when they saw it wasn't happening, they bulled him.

You're blind if you think Ron Rivera and Sean Payton are in remotely the same league as coaches.

Let's play your hypothetical game though: take Drew away from Sean and take Cam away from Ron.  I take whatever Sean Payton comes up with 10 times out of 10 over Ron.

I mean really do you think we go into the Super Dome today with fuging Kyle Allen and Garrett Gilbert as our quarterbacks and beat a Saints team that's actually trying to win and playing their other starters on offense with Bridgewater at QB?

I don’t think Ron is better but Payton’s genius isn’t as cut and dry as everyone thinks it is.

Payton has had 11 complete seasons with a HOF QB and has finished at .500 or worse in 5 of those 11 seasons and only has one Super Bowl Win to show for it. Payton will now have seven winning seasons to five .500 or below seasons. His record is skewed because when the Saints are good they more often than not win 13 games.

Payton was one more 7-9 season away from being fired.

And let’s not kid ourselves, Brees is a better QB than Cam (and I love Cam), if you throw Brees on some of those defensive teams Rivera has fielded then they have a real good shot at winning Super Bowl’s.
