Because Butker was drafted by Gettleman so he must clearly be preferable over who Hurney chose, facts be damned. Butker is a good kicker but his leg isn’t nearly as strong as Gano’s and he’s not substantially better overall. Gano and Butker have been two of the league’s best kickers, but Gano has more game winners.

No. That’s your agenda.

Mine is why if both Ks are similar, as you claim, why did one make 7.5M over 2 seasons(with 4.6M more to get rid of him) and the other didn’t make 1M combined.

There’s my reason. How about you give me a factual reason why I shouldn’t care about this?

No. It’s crying over the continuous flow of milk that streams constantly out of the franchise when we have our current leadership in charge. The 2.0 is as bad as 1.0.

If you've got $3 billion just laying around, have at it, dude.

Really, complaining about the ownership is really just shaking your fist at the sky.

Better than sticking your head in the sand and pretending everything the team does is smart. Even when proven that it wasn’t.

But if you’re gonna be that way...be creative about it.

Well for one, it's the gift that keeps on giving.

Butker could be the Chiefs kicker for the next ten years. Heck, he still has a few more on his rookie contract.

Meanwhile, Gano...

You know, a guy that kicks a 63-yard game winner for you deserves just a bit of slack. If you win a game because of a kicker it's darned good that you had him. If you lose a game because of a kicker, really you have 52 other guys who also have to share in the blame of either not scoring enough TDs or giving up too many points.

Devin Funchess had lots of catches this year.

Captain Munnerlyn had some nice pass breakups too.

Dontari Poe had plays where he didn't get pushed around.

And hey, Ron Rivera actually coached seven winning games.

Shall we praise and keep all of these for the future because they did some things that were good?

TIL a 63-yard game winner is just “good”, no different than a pass deflection.

Remind me, how far is Butker’s longest field goal? Not even a game-winner, just the career long?

Remind me how many games he helped his team lose vs how many Gano did.

Focusing on one thing versus the big picture is how you make stupid roster decisions.

Let’s see, he won us games against New England in New England, against the Giants, and multiple others this and last year as he has been one of the best kickers in the league.

How long is Butker’s longest field goal?

    • Outside of cerrato, I do like our draft overall. Hard to get can't miss draft picks when you pick late in the draft
    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
