Senior Bowl prospects of note

With Senior Bowl practices ramping up this week (game on Saturday), I figured I'd start a thread on players that could be in line for us at 16 or later.

1. Nasir Adderley, FS, Delaware (5-11, 201, 4.49) - He's the topped ranked safety on Dane Brugler's board. His cousin is hall of famer CB Herb Adderley, who played for the Packers and Cowboys back in the day. He's got the bloodlines.

2. Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State (6-5, 290, 5.23) - Brugler wrote that a strong week could lift him from probable first rounder to cemented first rounder. Brugler writes that Dillard is "A better pass protector than run blocker on tape, Dillard rarely gets beat around the edge due to his light feet and core power."

3. Insert name of any edge rusher or other DL: The strength of the draft is on the defensive front. Boston College's Zach Allen, LA Tech's Jaylon Ferguson and Old Dominion's Oshane Ximines are guys to track this week.

4. Insert name of any potential backup QB: The North squad is being coached by Jon Gruden and the QB's on that roster include Drew Lock, Daniel Jones, Ryan Finley and Trace McSorley. If Lock/Jones have strong weeks, I could see them going at the end of the first round.

5. Nate Davis, OG, Charlotte - He's a local prospect right up the road. We need depth on the interior and he could be in play with a strong week.

bill simmons says a lot of stupid poo. but one of this theories I 100% believe is that children of former professional players come into the league like mini vets.

Doesn't work in all cases like with Cris Carter's son Duron. But, I see that with CMC from EMC (Ed). We consistently complain about the lack of a safety and Adderley seems to fit the bill of what we need on the back end.

Just made the edit but I misread initially. Herb is Nasir's cousin, not his dad. Which makes sense considering Herb is almost 80 years old. Oops! My bad

LOL. That was my first thought. I was like Herb making babies late in life.

Dude came in just 7 pounds lighter than Derek Barnett did at the combine

He should be able to handle 265-270 with no loss of burst.

And please continue posting yours. I don’t have Twitter. Got to be easier for you and everyone to read. Thx.

    • Ya'll.....look at Stafford without his feet set. This is why people in here talk about Bryce not having elite abilities mattering when plays break down. He cannot make these kind of throws with his base not being set.
    • Pretty much going to play each other the same way.  Stop the run let the bad QB try to win the game. It will come down to who makes the least amount of mistakes.
    • From the Charlotte Observer   1. quarterback Bryce Young has yet to earn a road win this season, and the third-year former overall No. 1 pick is 1-15 on the road as a starter for his career — which is tied for the worst record over 16 games in NFL history. 2. The Jets, meanwhile, haven’t won a game yet. But even still it’s tough to pinpoint their identity. 3. They’ve lost four of their six games by a single score — three games by two points, specifically.  4. Quarterback Justin Fields has flashed his propensity for playmaking at times this year — with the exception of his Week 6 performance where he only threw for 45 yards passing — and Breece Hall is a undeniably good lead running back having a solid year statistically.   5. The Jets’ team rankings aren’t too ugly either.     Their defense, specifically. That unit is ninth in third-down conversion rate (36.4%) and 10th in opponent passing yards per game (200.5).   Their Achilles heel to date, it appears, is their turnover margin (-1.2, 31st in the NFL).
