I can't stand Belichick but the guy is right that the proliferation of hurry up spread attacks at the college level have greatly complicated the evaluation of draft prospects and the transition between college and the NFL.

You're baiscally left to try to project based on pure physical talent and pure physical talent has always been a pretty poor indicator of pro success by itself. The biggest common thread between draft busts is usually a high level of physical talent.

Then the NFL needs to either (1) start their own minor/developmental league and develop young talent as they see fit or (2) STFU because its not a college coach’s job to develop players for Bill Belichik or Ron Rivera, its to win games for his current employer.

Adapt or STFU. (And, to be honest, Belichik is one of the best at doing just that.)

Calm down. I dont think he or any other coaches are necessarily blaming college coaches for this. They're coaches too. They get it. Your job is to win and you run whatever system you think is going to to facilitate that.

Thanks for posting this.

I have completely committed to Dillard and now is my number one realistic prospect on my board for the Panthers to get. I'd also be very happy with Sweat or Burns both think they both will be gone by the time we draft.

I have a funny feeling Dillard might be gone too

Funny how Wilkins and Dillard are 10 and 11 respectively, but there's a  good chance that they're available at 16. Especially if there is a run on QB or DE. I'd be stoked with either.
