Brett Kollman’s draft recap.

He's a little off on Scarlett, compliment I 100% agree, however...

Christian McCaffrey is listed as 5'11'' / 205 lbs (NFL.com)

Jordan Scarlett is listed as 5'11'' / 208

You hear / read a lot about how he just ''runs over, and trucks defenders'' that's not really his game, he is a very physical runner, but timed faster than McCaffrey (4.47 vs 4.49) he's a very similar style of runner, but has a little more power to his game, but not enough to talk as though he's going to plow through defenses.

If anything the road grater would be Elijah Holyfield(5'10 / 217) - https://www.nfl.com/prospects/elijah-holyfield?id=3219484f-4c79-9542-5012-235f6662a469

Scarlett is more of the same when it comes to running with an added level of physicality, but minus the receiving ability that CMC possesses, he' s compliment in the sense that we don't have to get too far away from what we run on the ground when we spell CMC.

I'm a big fan of the pick, and for all the talk about ''atrocious'' hands as a HB in the flats, swings, and generally close to the LOS, it's something he can improve.

I am very excited about the potential of our backfield, I'd like to see these ^^^ make up the main depth. CAP is 29, and Hood is coming off an ACL.

Players can be similar in size and speed but be totally different styles of players.  Yes, they are both roughly similar in size and speed but to me Scarlett is more of a downhill one cut back and I would say CMC is more of a scat back with moves but still as we have send power to break first tackle.

    • I thought he was from watching him play and also doing his first HC job. I thought he was the real deal  Apparently what happened is Kraft committed to Mayo and I don’t remember the timeline exactly - but Vrabel was unemployed at the same time Belichick was unemployed. They both were fired after the 2023 season.  Kraft hired Mayo. Who was kind of an obvious disaster. He probably already had the deal in place but I will give Kraft credit for not sleeping. With Vrabel out there for 2025 he made the move he needed to make and if it hurt Mayo’s feelings then oh well.  I guess you can tell I am not fond of Kraft but that was a really savvy move. At his age, pretty good. Still has it.
    • It’s going to feel like a home game for the bills. There are so many of their fans that live down here now, and many of them have never seen Allen play in person since their last visit was 8 years ago. It didn’t matter for the cowboys game, but it might here. I think we likely lose a close one. Probably a questionable flag or two that doesn’t go our way. X factor for Buffalo will be Kincaid and Knox. If we do win it’s because we get ahead and play keep away from Allen. FYI- I have many friends who are Bills fans that are fed up with Beane who we all revere and think is the one that got away. They feel like he was great to land Josh but has done a terrible job of building around him (especially at WR) and rely on him to become super man to win- sounds kind of familiar, like the last time we had a franchise QB.
    • I always thought of him as an uptight military family dude, didn't know he needs to wash that mouth out with soap lol.
