I'm Done...

Until there is a competent starter under center, I'm done. My heart can't handle this anymore. I love Jake, but this is ridiculous. Call the redemption factor all you want, but Jake isn't gonna get better regardless of if he has a no INT game or not. Good luck, but I won't be watching the panthers this week, nor next until we have a different QB under center.

Maning up --

I'm a pussy for posting this... I will always support the Panthers, you guys just helped me along with that.

Every team has a bump in the road from time to time but we have officially hit a black hole.....Jake I love what you did for this team but I have also had it....yes I'm still a fan and I bleed Black and Blue but Jake has run his course.

The Greatest Football Team

We take the ball from goal to goal

Like no one`s ever seen

We`re in the air, we`re on the ground

We`re always in control

And when you say Miami

You`re talking Super Bowl

Nah! To gay.

I'm not quitting my Panthers fandom, I just refuse to watch bad football by an inept QB thats hurting the team. It's not worth to spend 4 hours on a Sunday evening to watch the Panthers emberass themselves, largely due to one player.

I disagree. I understand what he is going through. I personally take panther games way to seriously, and watching jake just makes my blood pressure rise. if he is anything like me than taking a few weeks off until jake is benched is probably the best thing for his health.

You got it exactly... we are alike.

    • What's wrong with Damien Lewis? He played pretty well last year.
    • Official NFL Cuts Tracker Deadline for roster cuts is Tuesday, August 26th. At this moment (Friday, August 22nd) the only interesting names I see are... K Caden Davis (BUF) RB Ameer Abdullah (SF) WR Equanimeous St. Brown (SF) WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (NO) LB Khaleke Hudson (TEN) Abdullah, St. Brown, Peoples-Jones I don't exactly think we should cut anybody for but it was just interesting seeing those names. Khaleke Hudson was on the Panthers' practice squad last year I believe and might have even gotten called up? And of course, Caden Davis just because of the question mark at kicker this season for the team.
    • I'll say 6/10. I don't know that we learned a whole lot about this team during preseason that we didn't already know. We didn't play the starters enough to really get a feel for what to expect. We had one good drive against the Browns, one 3-and-out and two 3-and-outs against the Texans. That's an extremely small sample size across 3 games regardless of performance. My camp/preseason takeaways: Jalen Coker might be the best WR on this team and is certainly no worse than #2. Nic Scourton is going to be a good player for us. Possibly very good. Bobby Brown was our best free agent addition. Jack Plummer isn't an NFL QB. Not even a practice squad guy. Having anyone other than Canales and Evero call plays was a really stupid and pointless idea. Our depth is largely non-existent, especially on defense. The three areas we actually DO have depth are on the OL, in the WR corp. and at RB. I can't fathom why Dan Morgan didn't do more to upgrade ILB during the offseason. We better hope Lathan Ransom steps up at FS because if he doesn't we have a massive hole. For all the hype surrounding Sanders/Evans, Tommy Tremble is still the best TE on the roster. I'm only slightly less enthusiastic going into the regular season than I was a month ago. I think our starters on offense are solid and we should be pretty good there unless Bryce totally regresses. On defense, we're probably bottom 3rd in the league if 100% healthy and significantly worse than that if injuries become an issue. We badly need at least two of our rookies to become high-level players early (ideally one of the pass rushers + Ransom) and at least 2 of our free agent additions (ideally Moehrig + Bobby Brown) to be significant upgrades over last year. Call me pessimistically optimistic 😆
