i haven't been posting in this thread much because my Man City fandom has wavered over the past year, so i stopped following as much. i guess that happens when you just pick a team you like kinda randomly without any real connection to them or knowing their history.

i love their roster and i love pep but i don't feel the 'pull' of the team like i used to

haha no it's purely about the organization itself. i still love the roster and i hope they keep winning, but next year i might start looking for a team with more working class roots rather than qatar roots

FYI, I changed my name.  Sounds like this will be a MLS team name so I got the dibs.  Cheer for Liverpool, United, Arsenal or Spurs.  Chelsea and Qatar are oil money and blood money.

Liverpool been up and down team for many years.  It’s amazing how good they got without sugar daddy owner.  Just smart business all around... selling average guys for crazy money and buying above average guys for little money.

My favorite PL team has been relegated twice in the last 6 years, so now I just watch the matches with no real rooting interest. Which is fine. I'm the same way with the Bundesliga.

Let's face it, any attachments one forms with a European club are tenuous, at best. Personally speaking, I'll have much more of a connection with the new MLS team. Because they're here.

My son started liking Liverpool back in the mid-2000’s when he was in middle-school. I couldn’t have cared less at that time.

After he graduated from college, he moved back home for a while so I figured I would watch the matches with him since it would give us something to do together, I started liking it more and more and now, personally, I have more fun watching Liverpool than watching any other sport.

And since we live in the Atlanta area, he and I have been huge Atlanta United fans as well.

Oh, and Charlotte/Tepper? Don’t pretend we’re rivals, because we’re not. Y’all have to earn that poo first. ;)
