Yeah, who gets the ball to McCaffrey? Hmmmmmm

Who missed Samuel all over the field?

Come on, man, short passes to McCaffrey who is amazing after the catch is not the same airing it down field.

Give McCaffrey his due. He deserves it! No one was qualifying Cam when he came into the league tearing it up.

Yeah, but if Cam is sooooo off McCaffrey doesn't get those record receiving yards.

If a RB is your best player (not) your in big trouble.

Not really.

It's not at all unusual for the quarterback to not be the best player on the team. You just need them to be good.

I love me some #22 but that best player tag is premature. He hasn't done anything yet. When you're 4 and inches an NFL RB worth his salt gets that.

I think they are featuring him in order to drive Cams value down. Is it Norv or the FO that's all I want to know.

True (Jake Delhomme) but miserably true.

The 90s Cowboys won three Super Bowls with Troy Aikman as their quarterback.

Aikman was good, but pretty much nobody would list him as a better player than Emmitt Smith or Michael Irvin. Heck, if you looked at the full roster, Aikman might not even be in the top five to ten best players.

That's one example of many.

Aikman was damn good, quite a bit above average.

I don't agree with that. To say Aikman wasn't in the Top 10 best Cowboys of their 90s dynasty is a real stretch. He is probably in the Top 10 ALL-time Cowboys and very easily the 2nd most impactful player of that dynasty.

He doesn’t have to be on it if he fully participates in practices and is going to play in the game.

The NFL Injury Report rules are WAY more nuanced than this.

There are widespread assertions that Cam is clearly injured to the point people are saying he should take a year off to get right --- if this were remotely true Cam would be listed on both the Practice and Game Status injury reports.

Irvin and Smith were both better, and those teams had some really good players on defense (Charles Haley, Leon Lett and Deion Sanders among them).

I'm by no means an Aikman detractor, though.

    • He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
    • Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
    • The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back.  We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond.  Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field.  Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
