Honestly, I'm kinda done with this season already, but if Hurney is allowed to hand out a big contract to Cam, I will probably lose my mind.

Love Cam, but you absolutely, positively, cannot pay for past performance, Marty has been known to do this often.

No argument.

We don't have a young Cam Newton anymore. Yeah you can have him scramble here and there, but those days of Cam bulldozing are gone bud. It was inevitable. It's time to start building an offense that doesn't consist of "please save us Cam".

I don't disagree with running the QB sneak. But we don't exactly have a tip top OL right now. Not to mention our center hasn't exactly been looking too great either. Hopefully that is something that can and will improve in the coming weeks.

Okay.  An older Cam Newton can still average 5-8 rush attempts per game and present a threat.  Again, it is what he is.  What he always has been.

If you remove that from his game (like it has been the last 2 weeks)….then it is time to begin thinking about his long term replacement.   It isn't realistic to think, well, CMC can just go for 200+ yards and it will all be okay.  Future teams will gameplan like the Bucs, not the Rams.

Does Rivera have the balls to bench Cam?

We can easily start either of our two backups but they will be sent to the guillotine the same as Newton by this fanbase. If you think Allen or Grier aren't turning the ball over multiple times a game behind this OL, I've got a nice bridge to sell you.

No.

and frankly, Ron shouldn't.  Cam has done too much for us (Ron as well).  So he gets to rid until the wheels completely fall off pending he wants to IMO.   Maybe that is now, maybe 5 years from now.

Hopefully Tepper stands up and puts this team out of its misery. Cam doesn't have to worry about any more football contracts. He will either be a backup on another team or out of the league next year. Rivera, Hurney and Cam need to be shown the door. I'd personally like to see it sooner rather than later.

in fairness, the way the OL in the Bucs game looked had a LOT to do with Cam being in their at QB.

Allen IMO has shown he could make a lot of those easy throws the Bucs put on a silver platter for Cam.   Proved it last year.  Also, I think it is comical our fearless leader was able to find out Cam's glaring tell in the shotgun which no doubt allows teams to tee off on him and the OL.

Couldnt hurt to try...  The way things stand we are loosing most games this year...  Let Cam sit out a few games to get his head back in it and heal up some more....  Watching from the sideline may give him a new perspective...

The better question is:  Does Rivera have the balls to fire himself?

Either backup will look really bad out there, and Ron is in win now, or find a new job mode.

It's ride or die with Cam....again.

Y'all do realize that he is basically saying that Cam is choosing not to run, in the sense that a DB or kicker may make a "business decision" not to get trucked. It's not that Cam has told someone that he refuses to run.

majority of Cam Newton's runs in his career have been called run plays.

Those plays have been removed.  He has never been a scrambler.

Clearly he was not fine because that was the game we took Cam off the field to have Heinicke come in to throw an end of half Hail Mary which ended up just being a quick out to set up a FG due to some quick thinking from Olsen.

Trick play.

In your opinion when was the last time Cam was fully healthy?  And, what was the incident that made him unhealthy?

After watching both his post-game pressers I'm of the opinion Cam is being told not to run (by the coaches and/or owner).

To me his comments in those pressers give every indication he is ready, willing and able to run like the wind.
